After an MRI scan on 8th May, it was declared that Daniel Bryan will not be able to return to the ring in the coming days. However, the WWE officials were hoping to see Bryan back into the ring and defend his Intercontinental Title against King Barrett this Sunday at the WWE Payback.
The WWE officials really want him to be a part of the roster but they also are looking for what is best for Bryan at the moment due to his injury. The situation has been frustrating for them as Bryan has become an injury prone figure. He is also part of their DVD and other products that are coming out and they need to be promoted. There have been talks that WWE could use him in a non-wrestling position.
