-As noted earlier, Rey Mysterio was gunning for a return to the WWE as he didn’t sign a deal with any other wrestling promotion as of yet.
It is said that there have been ‘casual insignificant’ talks between both sides and it seems the talks are actually on. Rey was most likely to sign a deal with Lucha Underground, which would have enabled him to also work indie matches.
As recent updates have come in regarding the uncertainty of the future of Lucha Underground, Mysterio seems to be looking for a comeback in the WWE. He hasn’t even signed with AAA, which is obvious with the recent PPV of AAA being a dismal failure.
Rey has been trying to be working his way in the good books of the WWE officials it seems and a return might be on the cards if the talks go through successfully.
- In other news, WWE clarified about the current status of King Barret formerly known as Bad News Barret and Wade Barret.
Barret recently changed his name on twitter back to his real name, Stu Bennett, and flew back to the UK to prepare for filming of WWE Studios’ action-thriller Eliminators.
That was the whole reason why he was attacked by Stardust on RAW. The WWE clarified that his status with the WWE has not changed and he is still an active member of the roster.
