The Apex Predataor of WWE has been sidelined with a shoulder injury since 2015. In a recent interview with Afterbuzz TV, Randy Orton cleared the mystique surrounding his injury and also commented on Daniel Bryan’s potential induction into Hall of Fame.
There were numerous rumours speculating the reason for hi injury back in 2015. Some of them even claimed that the The Viper had dislocated his shoulder while simply taking out trash(!) back in home and it had nothing to do with his match in October. Randy Orton put an end to these rumours in his interview.
The Viper cleared the mystique surrounding his injury by stating that his match in October was the source. He also mentioned that he underwent treatment similar to that of rugby players undergo to stabilize his shoulder.
"I had a match October in Chicago. My shoulder got stretched back, and I had a repair 12 years ago that was destroyed. I had a little pain, got an MRI and was told (they) had to fix my shoulder again," Orton stated about his injury. "I had a new guy do it and had a stabilization done that they do to rugby players get, and they're some tough customers.”
Orton was seen at the Hall of Fame ceremony without a sling. When enquired about his return and eventual retirement, he had some vague answers with several time frames for his return.
"A couple months, maybe 3-4, 2 weeks. Maybe there's an RKO out of nowhere. I'm not quite ready to be back on the road," Orton said to the interviewer. "I still have 5-10 years left, but who knows? I feel like I'm nowhere near done."
Orton also commented on the untimely retirement of WWE superstar Daniel Bryan and also expressed his opinion that Daniel Bryan should be inducted into the Hall of Fame.
"He wasn't with the WWE as long as a lot of these Hall of Famers were, but I feel like what he's put his body through in the business, I would love to see him cutting a speech and getting inducted. He's a hell of a guy,"
One can only imagine how much more awesomeness The Viper could have injected into the biggest WrestleMania in the history of WWE. An RKO out of nowhere could have made the event more splendid. Reading between the line of Orton’s interview, it is very clear that he could possibly make a return before this month in over.
