WWE News: Vince McMahon to return on Monday Night Raw

McMahon takes to the stage during a WrestleMania promotion event

WWE Monday Night RAW’s failing ratings are set to get a shot in the arm after the company announced that an old familiar face would make a flamboyant comeback to the programme. That familiar face is none other than Vince McMahon – reports allwrestlingnews.com.

A press release issued by WWE via their website WWE.com read:

“After weeks of a huge power struggle for control of SmackDown Live, WWE’s Chairman returns to Monday Night Raw. Will Mr. McMahon weigh in on the recent battle between Stephanie and Shane McMahon? Or does he have a different COO in mind for the blue brand’s latest chapter?”

The WWE Chairman will make a comeback as his wrestling alter ego Mr.McMahon in order to run the rule over the recent power struggle between his kids Stephanie and Shane.

Vince’s return is said to be timed strategically so as to provide a nice ratings bump in the lead up to the Brand Split and the Draft, which is just around the corner.

This could also be construed as a reactive measure by the WWE after having suffered one of the lowest ratings for Raw last week.

Needless to say, the show is eagerly awaited.
