Vince McMahon and WWE Superstars drop into Afghanistan unannounced, hang out with US Army troops

WWE Superstars and Vince McMahon with the troops

The WWE has always prided itself on being a charitable and compassionate organisation. From treating kids and fans to backstage tours and downtime with their Superstars, to their anti-bullying campaign, the sports entertainment behemoth has strong convictions to give back to society.

Another way the WWE reciprocates appreciation is its deference to members of the US Armed Forces. Personnel are entitled to free tickets to WWE Live Events and the camera always swings on a cluster of its faithful fans in uniform during televisation.

The WWE also goes the extra mile and gives the brave men and women of the armed forces a chance to interact with their favourite Superstars and they did just that last week. No less than Vince McMahon, Big Show, R-Truth and Alicia Fox secreted themselves all the way to Afghanistan, and gave the troops a lighter moment they were glad for.

The WWE will be airing their “Tribute to the Troops” special in the coming week. Don’t miss the replica of the WWE World Heavyweight Championship they brought along, no doubt to leave as a souvenir for the soldiers.
