Why Bo Dallas is an interesting addition as a contender for the Intercontinental Championship

Look out for Bo!

At Battleground, the audience made it clear that they still want Dolph Ziggler to have his moment. If you were watching carefully then you knew that Ziggler eliminating Sheamus did not mean the end of the match. And if you were even more observant you would have realized that the Miz was going to win the Battle Royale anyway. He was out for most of the match and not just once, but thrice. But watching Ziggler eliminate Sheamus, who has had many decisive victories over Ziggler in the past one year, was a moment to celebrate.

Ziggler faced the ‘Moneymaker’ next night on Raw and won and that triggered an Inter-continental title feud. And given that the Showoff is so popular, this bout is set to get noticed. What happened on Smackdown though definitely added more intrigue to the Inter-continental championship as Bo Dallas made his presence felt during a segment between the champion and the contender.

The New Dallas

It looks highly possible that Dallas is being promoted to fight for this mid card title which was once reputed to be the stepping stone for a superstar to enter the main event picture. The glory days seem to be long gone but the hopes of a revival still ring strong. Bad news Barrett had a great screen presence and a good gimmick but his injury was a vicious road breaker.

Dallas is connecting more with his new gimmick than he did with whatever his gimmick was in his previous main roster run. This gimmick is hilarious but not entirely restricted to comic relief. His delusion of being the most inspiring person on this planet is balanced out by his sudden burst of aggressiveness. Both these facets of his personality help add a lot of unpredictablility to his persona, which acts as a good contrast. His new role has connected well with the WWE universe too.

Entering the Intercontinental Title picture can only accentuate his gimmick and his potential to be considered as a marquee guy. The creative are trying to use his new found image to promote a relatively new wrestler to see if they can establish him as a household name.

The Miz is back to doing what he does best

Another reason to include him in the Inter continental title program is because of the Miz’s character. If you are wondering why, it is because the southpaw is back to being the heel, and he does it with aplombg, as only he can. He takes himself too seriously and is exceedingly full of himself. The Miz does not need any inspiration.

Out comes Dallas who wants to shove his five dollar knowledge about inspiration down Miz’s moneymaking throat. And there we have the making of a hilarious combination. And then we have the sanest person in the whole feud known as The Showoff. He’s someone who can benefit from the carnival of ridiculousness going around him. Believe it or not, Ziggler will be the one making the most sense and making fun of his two opponents. But for once, I really want to see an interaction between Dallas and Miz as I truly believe it can get entertaining.

Long Time No See

The inter-continental title picture hasn’t seen many feuds with a storyline nor does it consist of many interesting interactions between the opponents. It has fantastic matches as build ups instead of interesting promos. Since the Miz is the champion, I hope the promo department in the inter-continental title picture gets more attention and since it has done exactly that in the past week on Raw and Smackdown, it seems Dallas’ addition can only further improve the presence of an interesting angle to the title.
