Why Triple H should not accept Daniel Bryan's Wrestlemania challenge

No No No

No No No

One is the underdog representing the working class; the other is the evil boss who is throwing everything at the other to make his life miserable.

Ring any bells?

No, It’s not about everyone’s day to day life and neither is about the feud that Steve Austin and Vince McMahon had back in the Attitude Era (Austin wasn’t an Underdog anyways, he was a rattlesnake).

It’s about the scuffle that Daniel Bryan and Triple H have

been having over the past few months.

Bryan has been on the wrong end of the booking despite being the hottest star in the business and the company made an intelligent decision to incorporate the whole thing into a storyline and make Triple H look as the villain.

On paper this would set up an exciting match between Triple H and Daniel Bryan at WrestleMania with Bryan getting the chance for payback and for Triple H to feed his ego. With a lot of potential to be an epic encounter, the match could easily elevate the career of Daniel Bryan further than what it is already.

But one factor that pulls this feud back is the remaining match card of WrestleMania.

The biggest pay-per-view, WWE has to offer, WrestleMania often has two or three main events depending on the superstars at their disposal. This year, Undertaker’s bout against Brock Lesnar is sure to be one main event while Batista’s clash against Orton will be the other.

Taker- Lesnar match sure deserves to be a main event due to the legacy of the streak and star power of both performers. However, the second one from the lot, Batista-Orton match for the Unified title is something which has all the looks of a blunder.

Blunder in the making

Blunder in the making

Orton’s character has been stale for almost a year now and Batista seems to be stuck with the fans who just can’t stop booing him. If you might remember the start of all those jeers came from Royal Rumble when the fans realized that Bryan is not going to be in the battle royal.

Now imagine the same situation at WrestleMania, when Batista and Orton square off the whole crowd will start jeering while Bryan will be stuck in a semi main event against Triple H.

It’s a risk on any day and one what make look booking Triple H against Daniel Bryan stupid.

So what are the alternatives then?

Start of all problems

Start of all problems

Well the whole problem started when CM Punk left the company. The creative was planning to put Punk in a match with Triple H and push Bryan into the title scene for WrestleMania. Unfortunately Punk walked off from the company leaving the creative with a lot of questions which they still struggle with.

With Punk gone, Triple H was the one who needed an opponent. Bryan should be kept in the title scene no matter what because he simply deserves the main event spot and a title win at WrestleMania.

The last thing WWE would want is the fans ruining their legendry pay-per-view, the only way to avoid this will be to insert Bryan into the main even and make it a triple threat match for the title.

Bryan’s inclusion will breathe sudden life into the stale match and also would allow the WWE to turn Batista heel, which has turned out to be the only way to save the Animal from getting jeered. Thus Orton and Batista being heels, Bryan will be the only face in the match going for the money making his efforts more appreciable by the fans.

I mean who would want Bryan to emerge victorious and raise the title from a triple threat match which also had two top heels in the company?

What we want

What we want

This would also be that special WrestleMania moment for Bryan also. And most importantly it will be what the fans want as they wouldn’t settle for anything other than Bryan standing tall when the show goes off air.

As far as Triple H is concerned he could easily insert himself into a feud with Roman Reigns as explained here. Thus it would be a great card all around with matches like Roman Reigns vs. Triple H, Batista vs. Orton vs. Daniel Bryan and Undertaker vs. Brock Lesnar with Bray Wyatt vs. John Cena match being a bonus.

This card would be the best way that creative could book everyone and make the fans make happy in the process as well.

So the next time Bryan comes out and asks for a match at WrestleMania , Triple H should easily reject the offer because no one want to see the thirtieth anniversary edition of WrestleMania being ruing by a stale main event featuring a duck champion and jeered baby face.
