The showcase of immortals, WrestleMania is going to take place for the 30th time on Sunday April 6th in New Orleans. The card which features some epic battles between upcoming stars and legends would also include the newly crowned tag team champs, the Usos taking on three other teams. Though the match has been relegated to the pre show, it is sure to be an epic encounter.
The Real Americans have been very convincing as of late and have been portrayed as the best contenders for the titles. RybAxel have also gone from strength to strength. They might have started as a throw away team, but they have impressed inside the ring. Los Matadores on the other hand would have to prove their worth in the match.
With the tag team division seeing a rejuvenation in the past year or so, a lot better might have been expected in terms of the championship match. The lack of Rhodes brothers and the Wyatt family, do take away a little bit of shine from the match. But with the energetic Usos and Real Americans, it may still prove to be a better match than the ones we have seen in the past WrestleMania.
Build Up
The match has had a stunted build up ever since the Usos captured the titles from New Age Outlaws. Though the Samoans deserved to get their hands on the title, once they got there, their rivalry with the outlaws vanished in thin air. With a supposed rematch getting no mention in the coming weeks, a triple threat match was scheduled after the two heel teams backed up Kane against the Shield.
What’s more, the best team after the Usos, the Real Americans, teased of a split for most part of the last month. Also, RybAxel have been good as of late but never had they been any close to the championship. And while we have Los Matadores coming in, the former champs Rhodes brothers will have to sit back and watch the action.
Once the match had been declared there has not been much of a storyline progression and only a 8 man tag match was scheduled in the go home show of Raw this past week. WWE have not been paying a lot of attention to this match and have concentrated on the other matches in the card.
The Usos strengths:
The defending champions go in as the red hot favorites to retain the championship. They are the crowd favorite and should easily pull off the win to defend their titles. The sons of Rikishi are looking very good as the tag champs and should get a long reign in with the titles.
Their high flying moves and amazing spots should help in making the match commendable. They have shown in the past, how good and athletic they are and it should be of no surprise to see them rise to the occasion in New Orleans.
Real American’s strength:
The best challengers to the titles, The Real Americans have been very entertaining in the ring. Cesaro in particular has been a great in ring performer. The Cesaro swings should be expected in the match. It is astonishing that the Real Americans have not yet won the title and with a break up looming large, this may well be the final chance they have.
Swagger has been a very reliable performer in the ring. The former World heavyweight Champion has an intimidating physical presence in the ring and is surely going to help Cesaro put on a good performance.
RybAxel’s strengths:
Ryback and Curtis Axel have been put on as a team for quite a while now. And they have exceeded expectations in this role. The former Heyman guys, both the wrestlers have got more air time than they would have as singles wrestlers.
Ryback has his strength as the big plus and Axel complements it with his fine in ring performance. They make a good team though their performance together in WrestleMania remains to be seen.
Los Matadores strengths:
The Los Matadores have not been a very commanding team since their inception. A lot of question would need to be answered from their side, as they look to surprise everyone this weekend.
Predictions:
The Usos should retain their belts and the match should be entertaining. Cesaro should leave a very good impression through his performance. May be a Real Americans split?
Match Consequences:
The tag team division needs new teams to come up and challenge the Usos for the Championship. Usos retaining the belt would still keep the championship relevant and it would be exciting to see who the next challengers are.
