Legendary wrestler The Great Muta told the media in Japan earlier this month that he'll attack former WWE Champion, The Rock, during his visit to Japan. The two legends finally met each other at a promotional event for Hercules with Muta dressed as Rock’s character in the film. No harsh words were exchanged and contrary to what people thought, the two ended up shaking hands and The Rock called it an honour to meet this legend, and called him inspiring.
Muta wanted to do a match with The Rock in Japan since 2002. Muta previously attempted to begin a dialogue between All Japan Pro Wrestling and WWE but nothing good happened. The two had a staredown at a WWE event in Yokohama a few months prior when Muta was doing commentary.
