5 feuds for Anderson and Gallows as a tag team

Karl Anderson and Doc Gallows are certainly decorated as a tag team across the world.

So as all WWE fans know, the wait is over for Karl Anderson and Doc Gallows. After weeks of speculation as to when the duo would debut, or whether they’d appear in WWE or NXT first, the former New Japan Pro Wrestling star team has debuted on WWE programming.

They first made an appearance on Monday Night RAW to attack the Usos, a team they’ll face on the show’s next episode as their in-ring debut. But the question is, who should the former Bullet Club members feud with as they begin their high-profile WWE run?

The Usos

The Usos have been atop the WWE tag team division for a couple of years now.

So let’s start with the obvious team and point out the Usos as a logical team for the first feud for Gallows and Anderson. This may be cheating somewhat, since this feud has already sort of begun, but there are plenty of reasons beyond that.

The Usos have been a constant in a tag team division that has seen lots of turnover in recent years. To have Gallows and Anderson open with a feud against the Samoan brothers would establish that the WWE is ready to take the veteran newcomers seriously as leaders in the division.

New Day

Kofi Kingston, Xavier Woods and Big E have dominated the tag division as the New Day for the better part of a year.

Let’s go ahead and get the other obvious feud target out of the way: the tag team champions. The New Day has held the tag belts for more than 230 days now, and they will obviously have targets on their backs for a team that has won gold elsewhere.

This would be a great feud for a couple reasons, though. For one, the blend of styles between the aggressive, intense Gallows and Anderson and the always entertaining New Day would be fun to watch. Further, giving the champs serious contenders, and even someone to lose their belts to, would help the New Day tremendously.

Enzo and Big Cass

Enzo and Big Cass have not lost their momentum since being called to the main roster.

Enzo Amore and Colin Cassady have passed their main roster debut test with flying colors. Enzo has been his usual entertaining self on the microphone, and the crowds at RAW have fallen in step with his insulting, response-based style. In the ring, he and Cass have executed well and been believable winners.

To get to a good feud between them and Gallows and Anderson, one of the teams would probably need to win the belts first. Either way, this matchup would bring some of the same features of the New Day feud, but with the intrigue of both teams being new to the WWE main roster.

Wyatt Family

The Wyatt Family has seemingly been going through a transition of sorts since WrestleMania.

This one would take some work, but the Wyatts could make an excellent welcoming party for Gallows and Anderson. Simply put, few teams are as dominant and intimidating as Bray Wyatt’s team of monsters should be and has been at times.

It would probably require a true Bullet Club or Balor Club of sorts, but the Wyatts could very easily decide to “defend their yard” against the outside invaders. Especially given an apparent face turn of sorts before Bray’s recent injury, the story could really work well.

WWE Locker Room

A unified locker room has been used in pro wrestling storytelling from time to time.

One very clear option giving the booking for Anderson and Gallows so far would be a full-fledged invasion similar to the Outsiders and the NWO in WCW action about 20 years ago. The duo, joined by Finn Balor, AJ Styles or others, could launch an attack on the WWE itself.

As such, they could start a feud with the locker room as a whole, and quite honestly, that might be the most intriguing option of all. Such an angle would force uncomfortable alliances and create some of those chaotic but memorable brawl segments that we haven’t truly seen in some time.
