6 Booking steps for Triple H

What could the future behold for Triple H?

Triple H made his comeback last week to screw Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins to help Kevin Owens win the WWE Universal Championship. ‘The Game’ looked menacingly at Foley following the match and left unceremoniously, not even showing up on the following Raw.

With his actions still unexplained, this article will look at how WWE can book Triple H going forward.

6: Explains his actions

Triple H has to explain his actions

Seth Rollins and Triple H have a relationship that goes back to when Seth aligned with the Authority after turning his Shield brothers. In fact, Seth Rollins is Triple H’s protégé and Hunter had even bestowed Rollins with The Pedigree.

Last week, Triple H returned to WWE programming for the first time since Wrestlemania 32 to Pedigree Roman Reigns. After getting Rollins to eliminate Reigns, Hunter inexplicably turned on his protégé to help Kevin Owens win the WWE Universal Championship.

The first thing Triple H has to do after his comeback is to explain his actions on that fateful night. Why did Triple H turn on his protégé seemingly without a reason? Was Stephanie actually unaware of his actions that night or were they in cahoots? One reason why Triple H could have turned on Rollins is him being unhappy with Rollins’ getting injured and having to relinquish the title, and letting Dean Ambrose cash in on him at Money In The Bank moments after winning it back.

5: Costs Rollins at Clash of Champions and cements Rollins’ babyface turn

Rollins’ babyface turn would get cemented at Clash of Champions

Seth Rollins will challenge Kevin Owens for the WWE Universal Championship at Clash of Champions in a match that could also involve Roman Reigns. Rollins will go into the match looking to avenge Owens for getting screwed and to win the Universal Championship.

Rollins has only been a WWE World Champion for a few seconds since his comeback after Dean Ambrose cashed in on him at MITB right after he defeated Roman Reigns. Rollins has been a heel since he turned on his Shield brethren and was even kept a heel after his return from injury earlier this year, but with Rollins getting by Triple H was just the next step in finally turning him back into a babyface.

Triple H has to come out and cost Seth Rollins just when he’s on the verge of winning his match at Clash of Champions. This both cements Owens as a heel as he needs to cheat to win and finally cements Seth Rollins as a babyface.

This would start a program between Seth Rollins and Kevin Owens for the fall with Seth Rollins chasing KO as the babyface challenger.

4: Stephanie and Triple H turn on Foley and align with KO

Stephanie would initially be on Foley’s side but then turn on him

The first thing that Mick Foley should do following the incidents at Clash of Champions is to come out and publicly denounce Triple H. Stephanie would come out with Mick Foley and seemingly side with Triple H and they would call Triple H out together.

Triple H would now come out, accompanied by the WWE Universal Champion Kevin Owens. Triple H would begin to reason with Foley at first before attacking him and giving him the Pedigree. Stephanie would look shocked at first but that would slowly transition into a smile, revealing that she had been in on the plan all along as Owens stands in the corner and laughs at Foley writhing on the ground.

At this point, Stephanie and Triple H would align with Owens. This would just be a temporary partnership with Triple H and Stephanie enlisting KO’s help to combat the dual retribution of Reigns and Rollins, both of whom got screwed by Triple H. Triple H would convince Owens to agree by saying that Owens owes him.

They decide to face their threats at Survivor Series in a Survivor Series style match. Team Owens vs Team Rollins with Triple H returning to wrestle for the first time since Wrestlemania 32 as a part of Team Owens. If Team Rollins wins, then Rollins gets a shot at Owens’ Championship. If Team Owens won, Rollins couldn’t challenge for the title as long as Owens is the champion.

3: Triple Owens vs Team Rollins at Survivor Series

Team Owens vs Team Rollins

Team Owens would be the hell team and would include Owens and Triple H at the forefront. Other heels would be the part of this team like Chris Jericho, Rusev, and Sheamus. Teams Owens could even include the likes of the monster Braun Strowman.

The first member Seth Rollins will court for his team would be Roman Reigns. Seth would tell Roman that this didn’t mean that they were friends, but they need to face this threat together. He would also promise Reigns a future title shot in case Team Rollins won and he went on to defeat Owens.

Reluctantly, Roman would see sense and agree. The next two people Rollins would get for his team would be the Certified G’s, Enzo and Cass. The last person Rollins would get for his team would obviously be Sami Zayn.

The match itself would be neck and neck with Rollins and Owens being the last two people. Triple H would be the third last man eliminated with Rollins pinning him after a Pedigree. Triple H would not take to this kindly and take Rollins out with a steel chair before Owens power bombed him to pick up the win for his team, meaning that Rollins couldn’t challenge Owens for the championship.

2: Seth Rollins wins the Royal Rumble

Seth Rollins wins the Royal Rumble

Seth Rollins would go on a rampage following Survivor Series with Triple H hiring bodyguards to protect himself. In the lead up to the Royal Rumble, Rollins would get completely fed up with getting screwed over repeatedly and vow to win the Royal Rumble. He would say that even though he wouldn’t be able to challenge for the Universal Championship, he would win the Royal Rumble and get the match he truly desired – a match against Triple H at Wrestlemania.

Triple H would try to screw Rollins one last time with Rollins entering at #1. However, Rollins would overcome the impossible with the fans behind him and win the 2017 Royal Rumble, becoming the first WWE Superstar in history to win the Royal Rumble from the number one position.

Rollins formally announces after the match that he wants a match with Triple H at Wrestlemania 33 – and not just any match – a No Holds Barred Loser Leaves Town Match against Triple H.

1: Seth Rollins vs Triple H at Wrestlemania 33

Triple H vs Seth Rollins on the grandest stage of them all

The match that has been in the making for almost two years would finally take place at Wrestlemania 33 – Mentor vs Protégé – Pedigree vs Pedigree – Triple H vs Roman Reigns. The stakes are higher with this one being a loser leaves town match.

The match would be a hard hitting and bloody affair, the epitome of a grudge match. There would be chairs, tables and of course a sledgehammer.

The ending sequence would have Stephanie coming out to distract Rollins with Triple H blindsiding him with the sledgehammer. Rollins would kick out a millisecond away from the 3 count with Triple H looking pale with disbelief. Triple H props Rollins up with Stephanie still on the apron. Stephanie slaps Rollins in the face from the apron. Then, as Triple goes to hit him with the sledgehammer, Rollins would move away and Triple H would hit Stephanie by mistake.

With Triple H was distracted after just hitting his wife by accident, Seth Rollins would capitalise and hit HHH with the sledgehammer. He would follow that up with a Pedigree for the pinfall, which would be signifying the passing of the torch from Triple H to Rollins and cement him as a monster babyface.
