Ever since Roman Reigns decapitated Triple H with a brutal onslaught at TLC, the WWE Universe has been waiting for the match-up to happen.
What was earlier rumored to be a WrestleMania 32 match may not be the case anymore as DailyDDT reports that WWE may plan on having Reigns go up against The Game at Royal Rumble.
Triple H was written off TV for a few weeks after being on the receiving end of Roman Reign’ wrath for being screwed over once again. Chair shots, a spear, superman punches and an announce table bump made sure the COO stays of WWE TV.
One of the reasons why Triple H vs Roman Reigns is being rumored for Royal Rumble is the fact that Reigns is set to defend his title against Sheamus next week on RAW, with Vince being the special guest referee.
Reigns would most likely defend his title successfully that could pave the way for Triple H’ return and an inevitable match at Royal Rumble.
Another reason that points out to the match is the fact that John Cena and Reigns had an intense face-off after this week’s RAW went off air.This pointed out to a passing of the torch match, presumably at WrestleMania 32.
This, though, is just a speculation at the moment. The next few weeks would surely throw some light on exactly what the WWE Creative has in store for Royal Rumble.
