WWE: Brock Lesnar at SummerSlam? Jim Ross backs the Beast

Brock Lesnar may feature in the WWE Heavyweight title match at SummerSlam

Brock Lesnar might be all set to challenge for the WWE Heavyweight Championship title at the upcoming SummerSlam. Though there has been no official word from the WWE authorities, Lesnar may feature at the SummerSlam main event.

WWE have sent out a survey to its mailing list asking fans whom they would like to see challenge Lesnar for the Heavyweight title on Sunday, August 17. The listed possibilities are: John Cena, Roman Reigns, Alberto Del Rio, Sheamus, Randy Orton, Bray Wyatt and Cesaro. No prizes for figuring out that the above list are all particpants at Money In The Bank title battle on June 29.

Lesnar hasn't made a ring appearance since him ending Undertaker's streak at Wrestlemania. And if all goes according to plan, SummerSlam may witness the Beast again. And in some more good news for Lesnar fans, commentator and WWE Hall of Famer Jim Ross has already made plans of SummerSlam featuring Lesnar.

A very media-shy person, Lesnar has many a time refused to open up to the media. And sometimes this reclusiveness has worked against the 36-year-old. But Jim Ross begs to differ, and wants Lesnar at SummerSlam. "I'd book Lesnar to headline Summer Slam in Los Angeles and build the card around him. Yes, I'm prepared for the onset of knee jerkers who will say that Brock is part time and that part time talents are efficient. I don't concur and think that overexposure is running rampant in the wrestling biz and Lesnar certainly isn't over exposed. The WWE World Champion doesn't need to be on every TV or at every live event. That concept is antiquated," posted Ross on his blog.

Commenting on this storyline being a very predictable one, Ross wrote: "If some fans feel that this may be too predictable, then perhaps some are over thinking a pro wrestling storyline that makes sense. Making sense when executing a story line is much more important than doing the unpredictably stupid moves to just 'surprise' the audience. Don't get me wrong, I love a good pro wrestling surprise as much as the next fan, but NOT at the expense of doing the right thing."
