WWE: Daniel Bryan wants Brock Lesnar, talks about neck surgery

WWE superstar Daniel Bryan

WWE superstar Daniel Bryan spoke to Brain Fritz of BetweentheRopes.com just before SummerSlam and he expressed his desire to face Brock Lesnar once he completes his return to TV.

"Brock Lesnar is right now out of all the WWE Superstars currently active the one that I want. That's the match that I want," Bryan said. "I think that match would be something different than the WWE Universe has ever seen. That's the match that I'm gunning for."

Brock Lesnar secured an emphatic victory over John Cena after putting on a dominating show against the Cenation leader. And Bryan along with Cena are the two primary candidates to face Lesnar for the title considering Cena will have his rematch while Bryan never lost the titles as he was stripped off those belts in June.

Bryan added that his neck injury "has been a little bit demoralizing," especially when he hoped to be able to drop the WWE Title after WrestleMania, then have the surgery.

But, Bryan said, "I look at it like I've been wrestling for 15 years and this is my first major surgery, so I'm doing okay. It's just the timing of it wasn't my favorite."
