WWE Elimination Chamber Preview - 23rd February 2014

And that's your main event

And that’s your main event

Till now the Elimination Chamber was known for being the demonic structure that changed the career of whoever stepped inside it, but after Sunday it will be known as the last pay-per-view before the Network Era, it will be known as the show were Wyatt Family and Shield squared off and most importantly it will be known as the milestone of WWE’s greatest success or their greatest flop.

With a lot of expectations on the company after a tainted pay-per-view run, they need to set the record straight if there are to make the opening of WWE Network a success.

We’ve been on a twisted path to the pay-per-view so far which included many predictions and hypes for the show. So with just less than countable hours to go for the epic show here is one last look back at what all needs to be set aside before you set in the couch holding the popcorns.

From just glancing over the card, the match between Wyatt Family and Shield stands out from the rest even though the Elimination Chamber match gives close competition.

The internal turmoil in the Shield is the main subplot which makes the six man tag team match the top one to watch out for. It could be the final match of the Shield as well since they are at the edge of destruction which might lead to the babyface career of Roman Reigns. Wyatt Family on the other hand will only be looking to make the life of their opponents a living hell since that’s the only thing they care about.

Elimination Chamber match is also bound to blow the roof off. Randy Orton is heading into the chamber on a low note but is still the favorite to crack the lock. John Cena runs closely behind the Viper as him wining could set up a clash between Cena and Batista at WrestleMania. Daniel Bryan comes in as the other possible winner but the fact that Kane is running behind him dims his chances. Other three wrestlers will be restricted to complementing and putting on a show but this one promises to be a stellar match.

Not much to be excited in the undercard matches as all of them lack the heat to match up to the main events. However, the Usos and Rhodes Brothers is likely to put on great solid performances which will call out the consistency of Tag team division again.

As for Batista and Del Rio are concerned, it’s just going to be the Mexican’s burial and the Animal’s rise. And hopefully Titus O’Neil and Darren Young would rise up to the occasion and make maximum utilization of the chance they got because it’s a make or break situation for both of them at the Elimination Chamber.

Matches to watch Out: Wyatt Family vs. Shield , Elimination Chamber match

Superstar to watch out for

Going to get screwed ?

Going to get screwed ?

In case of Performance, as usual Daniel Bryan will be the one to watch out for at Elimination Chamber. Even if he loses the match, Bryan is going to put on a show which is going to give goose bumps to the whole WWE Universe.

Tied to Bryan will be Kane and Triple H. either the Director of operations or the COO of the company is sure to make some sort of interference at the main event to make sure that Bryan doesn’t win the title.

Cesaro will be another one to watch out inside the Chamber match as the Real American comes fresh off an epic match against John Cena. It is performances like that which makes a wrestler into a superstar and expect similar response from Cesaro at the Chamber as well.

Last but not the least Roman Reigns will make a huge impact ahead of WrestleMania which makes him another superstar to watch out for.

So the superstars to watch out are: Daniel Bryan, Kane or Triple H, Cesaro and Roman Reigns.

Surprises or Returns expected

A return: Literally blows the roof off

A return: Literally blows the roof off

As mentioned earlier, the most entertaining and anticipated surprise would happen if the Shield breaks up owing to the pressure from the Wyatt Family.

On a lower note, the Rhodes brother might also start to show some friction between them because of being inconsistent in the tag team division.

Apart from this, a returning Brock Lesnar and Undertaker would make headlines too as the Authority’s involvement with Daniel Bryan is almost sure to happen and can’t be classified as a surprise. Taker returning will certainly be one of the biggest moments of Elimination Chamber as he could single handedly overshadow whatever went down at the pay-per-view. Brock Lesnar’s return would however be a toned down version unless he locks horn with the Phenom himself.

But the biggest surprise would be the return of CM Punk. Yes it will be even bigger than Undertaker returning because we know that Taker is going to come in at one point or the other. Punk returning will make the whole place blow out of proportion as it will be “the” biggest swerve pulled off by the company in the PG Era.

Surprises or Returns to expect: Shield breaking up, Friction between Rhodes Brothers, Brock Lesnar, Undertaker and CM Punk.

So the Elimination Chamber has all the firepower to turn into a pay-per-view worth remembering unlike the previous ones that WWE produced in recent history. But as always you never know what you could expect from the WWE and maybe that’s the beauty of professional Wrestling.
