As noted by PWInsider, WWE Hall Of Famer Bruno Sammartino underwent back surgery this past week. The WWE legend had to be hospitalised for the better part of the month owing to his back issues. A surgery was done before, but that didn’t help the WWE Hall of Famer in getting rid of his back problems, it was determined that he had to have another back surgery.
The surgery went well and he is home now recuperating. The surgical team was led by Dr. Joseph Maroon who has been Bruno's physician for many years. Bruno's manager Sal Corrente issued the following on Bruno's condition:
“For the better part of a month Bruno Sammartino has been in the hospital. It was determined that he had to have another back surgery The surgery went well and he is home now recuperating. The surgical team was led by Dr. Joseph Maroon who has been Bruno's physician for many years. I have been in contact with Bruno throughout the month and today. He has given me to go ahead to post this publicly. He was in great spirits and we are all looking forward to his 100% recovery.”
