WWE: Kurt Angle won't sign new TNA contract, keeping his options open

Former WWE superstar Kurt Angle

Kurt Angle was on Jim Ross’ weekly podcast show, Ross Report, where he talked about his current situation with the TNA.

The Olympic Gold medallist confirmed that his contract with TNA wrestling will end on September 21, 2014. They have offered him a new deal, but he has chose to turn it down because of the fact that his next contract will be probably the last one of his wrestling career.

So before Angle decides to hand his boots up, he wants to consider other available options. And it is no secret that he would like to have one last stint in the WWE.

Angle was a part of the famous Attitude era roster and has worked alongside the likes of Stone Cold, The Rock and Shawn Michaels. He was in the main event cards until 2005 when his contract expired and WWE didn’t offer him a new one.

This will be an interesting topic of speculation for the WWE universe going forward given how things turn out and if the WWE does try to get him on board even after their split in 2005.
