WWE legend's Hall of Fame ring sold online, family in dire straits

Paul Bearer Hall of Fame ring sold off in online auction

In a shocking and saddening development, the family of William Moody, aka Paul Bearer in his time with the WWE, have sold off the WWE Hall of Fame ring that was given to him posthumously, after he was inducted in the class of 2014. Moody at the time of his death was survived by his 2 sons.

However, with his wife already deceased and with the death of one of his sons last year, one can imagine that it must be the resulting financial duress that caused this as his remaining son has a family to support. The ring was sold off in an online auction.

Paul Bearer, who was instrumental in the rise of Kane, Mankind and most famously, The Undertaker, was genuinely liked and respected among the wrestling community and this sad news just throws a light on how cruel and non-glamorous life can be for the performers after the days of performing in front of the cameras are over.
