WWE Live Event Louisville results 16th September, 2016

The RAW-exclusive live show took place this Friday

The recent WWE Live event took from Louisville, Kentucky featured the RAW roster only. The attendance was comparatively low as the event attracted nearly 5,500 fans :

The results are provided below :

  • Sasha Banks, Bayley and Alicia Fox defeated the team of WWE Women’s Champion Charlotte, Dana Brooke and Nia Jax, when Brooke tapped out to the Bank statement. Emma was the special guest referee for this six-women tag team match. She has been out of action due to a back injury and this event marked her first appearance since May. She is expected to return to in-ring action very soon.
    • Darren Young defeated Titus O’Neil. Some fans in attendance noted that WWE Hall of Famer, Bob Backlund was amazing at rinside. The former Tag team Champions, turned bitter rivals are expected to have a match at the upcoming Clash of Champions pay-per-view as well.
        • Braun Strowman defeated Sin Cara.
    • The Golden Truth (Goldust and R-Truth) defeated Bo Dallas and Curtis Axel. Although Axel has been performing in the live events, he is yet to make an appearance on the red brand since the WWE Draft.
    • A United States Championship match came to an end, when Rusev hit a low blow on Roman Reigns. As Reigns defeated the Champion via disqualification, Rusev retained the gold. On a sidenote, the former WWE Champion received the loudest pop of the night.
        • After an hilarious pre-match segment, The New Day successfully defended their WWE Tag team Championship in a triple threat match involving the Shining Stars (Primo and Epico) and the team of Big Cass and Enzo Amore.
            • The Swiss Superman, Cesaro defeated Karl Anderson, who was accompanied by Luke Gallows. The initial stage of the match was pretty good. It could have been an amazing contest but they never ‘clicked’.
                • The main event was a triple threat match for the WWE Universal Championship. Kevin Owens retained the Championship against Seth Rollins and Sami Zayn. The fans noted that it was the best bout of the night, although the Champion dominated throughout the match.
