WWE Live Event Results: June 29, Honolulu

Kevin Owens and Nakamura battling in Hawaii

Given the star power and dream matches that were scheduled for this show, the show was destined to be a hit. And it did become a hit. Jericho and Owens stole the show in their respective matches. While Owens battled Nakamura in what was a dream match, Jericho worked the Fatal 4 Way main event for the WWE Championship match. They entertained the crowd with their antics and delivered a great show.

Here are the results and highlights from the show.

- Titus O’Neil def. Curtis Axel via pinfall following Clash of the Titus. The crowd was reported to be red hot for this match. The chemistry between Titus and Axel was also reported to be good.

- Baron Corbin def. Dolph Ziggler via pinfall following End of Days. This has become a match that is used to settle down the crowd on their seats after a great match. It is sad to see both Ziggler and Corbin be handled in this way.

- The Usos def. Karl Anderson & Luke Gallows via pinfall following a Samoan Splash. The Usos were super over with the crowd at Honolulu. The Club cut out a promo before the match.

- Asuka def. Natalya via submission with an Asuka Lock. In what can be considered as a pleasant surprise, Natalya got way more cheers than Asuka. The match was reported to be very good and entertaining.

- New Day def. Vaudevillains via pinfall following a Big Ending.

- Charlotte def. Becky Lynch via submission with a Figure 8 Leglock.

- Shinsuke Nakamura def. Kevin Owens via pinfall following multiple Kinshasas. Owens cut a remarkably cool promo before the match and he entertained the crowd with his antics a deal. Here are some of his antics from the match.

- Dean Ambrose def. Seth Rollins, Chris Jericho & AJ Styles via pinfall following Dirty Deeds on Styles. Jericho was the only one who got time in the ring to cut a promo. Reportedly, Jericho was called as “ mahu“ by the crowd. Without knowing that the word meant gay, Jericho accepted it and it led to a hilarious moment. Similarly a mid-match spot by Jericho, Styles and Rollins had the crowd laughing like hell. Here are the highlights involving Jericho in the match.

It was also reported that Dean Ambrose was super over with the crowd and his win got a huge pop. Looks like the event was fun.
