WWE is wrapping up their European Tour in style with two live events on the same day. The results from Malaga have come in and here’s what went down at the show.
WWE Intercontinental Champion The Miz with Maryse defeated Dolph Ziggler
- It was reported that as usual this two competitors put on a great match to open the show. Looks like WWE is giving a good push to Miz, surely we can expect Cesaro to win at Payback.
Fandango defeated Damien Sandow
- There wasn’t much to report from this match. The match was basically a filler between two great matches. But it is sad to see Damien Sandow used this way.
AJ Styles defeated Chris Jericho
- Another great match with these two competitors. The in-ring chemistry was reported to be great with Jericho being the perfect heel.
Eva Marie, Paige, Natalya and Alicia Fox defeated Lana, Summer Rae, Naomi and Tamina Snuka
- It was reported that Team Paige got some of the best ovations of all night including the likes of Triple H, Sami Zayn, Kevin Owens and Dean Ambrose. And the fact that apart from Natalya, no one has even a good storyline speaks volume. WWE need to tap into this potential quickly.
Goldust defeated Curtis Axel with Viktor
- Strange pairing. It was reported that R-Truth made a post-match save for Golden Truth. WWE should get on with this team formation. It has been dragged for too long.
Big Show and Kane defeated Erick Rowan and Braun Strowman
- Well, one can’t expect much wrestling with the competitors involved. It was reported to be a typical big man match. Also, Big Show and Strowman facing off got a good reaction according to the sources.
WWE United States Champion Kalisto defeated Ryback and Alberto Del Rio
- A Triple Threat Match for the United States Championship ended as expected. The match was reportedly average with no chemistry between the trio.
Sami Zayn and Dean Ambrose defeated Triple H and Kevin Owens
- Needless to say, this match was reported to be the best match of the night. It is strange to see Triple H lose both his matches after WrestleMania. The match was reported to be a fun one with good high spots and major face-offs. The crowd was totally into the match.
