SmackDown Live’s roster made their last stop ahead of WWE TLC at Oklahoma City. The show had a stacked card featuring the best that the blue brand’s roster had to offer and the crowd went home very happy. The main event featured a street fight between WWE World Champion AJ Styles and Dean Ambrose for Styles’ Championship.

The show also featured fan favourites like Becky Lynch, the new Wyatt Family, Dolph Ziggler. Becky Lynch defended her SmackDown Women’s Championship in a Fatal-5-Way match while Ziggler challenged his arch-nemesis The Miz to a non-title bout.

The SmackDown tag-team titles were also defended tonight with Slater and Rhyno defending the titles against Breezango.

Without further ado, let’s get down to the results from Oklahoma City.

The Miz vs Dolph Ziggler (non-title match)

The Miz was the most hated man in the building once again which was a testament to how good he is at his job. His match with Ziggler went back and forth even though Ziggler had more of an upper hand in the long run.

Miz having Maryse at ringside with him didn’t help this time as Ziggler still pulled off the win. An excellent match to start off the night. However, with Miz defending his title at TLC, losing clean to Ziggler so close to the event can definitely be counted as an upset.

Apollo Crews, Jack Swagger, Zack Ryder and Mojo Rawley vs Simon Gotch, Aiden English, Curt Hawkins and Viktor

It was good to see Apollo Crews in action once again. If anyone has been underutilised since the brand split, it’s definitely him.

The match itself was your standard 8-man tag-match. They crowd weren’t really into the match and were more or so glad when it was over. The faces picked up the in the end.

Kalisto vs Baron Corbin

Kalisto faced off against his opponent at TLC, Baron Corbin and the result did not go in the favour of the masked luchador. Kalisto tried to use his speed to get the better of his much larger opponent and was largely successful.

However, it wasn’t enough as Baron Corbin hit the ‘End of Days’ to pin Kalisto.

Kane, Chad Gable and Jason Jordan vs Luke Harper, Randy Orton and Bray Wyatt

This match was easily one of the best of the night. American Alpha and the new Wyatt’s had a great match on SmackDown last week but this match was even better.

Wyatt, Orton and Harper dominated much of the match with Chad Gable taking a lot of punishment. Kane is still pretty good as a hot-tag and he got the win for his team following a chokeslam on Luke Harper.

Heath Slater and Rhyno (C) vs Breezango (for the SmackDown Live Tag-Team Championships)

Heath Slater and Rhyno got a pretty huge pop as they came out to defend their championships against Breezango. The champions made light work of their opponents and will face much tougher opposition at TLC when they face Randy Orton and Bray Wyatt.

Becky Lynch (C) vs Alexa Bliss vs Nikki Bella vs Natalya vs Carmella (for the SmackDown Live Women’s Championship)

Becky Lynch and Nikki Bella received huge pops as they came out for the match. The women got time to show what they do and by all account, this match was a contender for match of the night.

The match was fought hard and if this match was anything to go by, TLC will be very good. The match ended with Becky Lynch tapping Alexa Bliss out with the Dis-Arm-Her.

AJ Styles (C) vs Dean Ambrose (Street Fight for the WWE World Championship)

AJ Styles was at his heel-ish best in Oklahoma City as he defended his WWE World Championship against Dean Ambrose. The two Superstars fought long and hard with Styles trying everything he had in his arsenal, both legal and illegal, to pull off the win.

Ambrose gave it his all but ended up coming just a little bit short of picking up the win as he lost via pinfall. At least, he’ll get another title shot at TLC.
