WWE Live Event: Tyler results (December 5th, 2016)

The Lunatic Fringe in action at the SmackDown Exclusive Live Event in Tyler, Texas

SmackDown Exclusive Live Event came to us from Tyler, Texas, this Monday. It was the first live event hosted by WWE, post-Sunday night’s Tables, Ladders, and Chairs (TLC) event. The event featured two title bouts along with six other well-worked matches. WWE Champion, AJ Styles was not a part of the show, courtesy of an ankle injury he suffered at TLC.

Furthermore, James Ellsworth was seen sporting his newly established heel persona, as he interfered in the main event that featured The Lunatic Fringe Dean Ambrose, along with The Miz and Dolph Ziggler, for the Intercontinental Title.

So without further ado, let us find out how the Live Event unfolded;

#1 Jack Swagger, Apollo Crews, Zack Ryder and Mojo Rawley vs. Konnor, Viktor, Simon Gotch and Aiden English (Eight-man tag team match)

A good match to kick off the show. The Hype Bros (Zack Ryder and Mojo Rawley) got a good pop, while the others received a lukewarm response. In the end, the team of Jack Swagger, Apollo Crews, Zack Ryder and Mojo Rawley won in a convincing fashion.

Result: Jack Swagger, Apollo Crews, Zack Ryder and Mojo Rawley stood tall in victory.

#2 Baron Corbin vs. Kalisto (Singles match)

It was a rematch of the previous night’s PPV, TLC. The Lone Wolf defeated the Luchador with a well-executed End of Days. Kalisto got a good pop, while Corbin shined with his heel antics.

Result: Baron Corbin won via pinfall

#3 Kalisto vs. Curt Hawkins (Singles match)

Following the Kalisto-Corbin match, Curt Hawkins came out to take advantage of a battered Kalisto but lost to him in a quick match.

Results: Kalisto won via pinfall

#4 Nikki Bella vs. Carmella vs. Natalya (Triple Threat match)

Subsequent to the aftermath of TLC, Nikki took on Carmella and her alleged attacker at Survivor Series, Natalya, in a Triple Threat match. A good match altogether. The three women of SmackDown Live got decent pops. In the end, Nikki came out on top.

Result: Nikki Bella defeated Carmella and Natalya

#5 Kane, Chad Gable and Jason Jordan vs. SmackDown Tag Team Champions Bray Wyatt and Randy Orton, Luke Harper (Six-man Tag Team match)

Team Alpha Male formed an unusual alliance with the demon Kane, to take on the Wyatt family and Randy Orton. A spot infested match, in which every Superstar got a chance to showcase their talent, resulted in a loss for the Tag Team Champions and their ally Luke Harper.

Result: Kane, Chad Gable and Jason Jordan won

#6 Heath Slater and Rhyno vs. Tyler Breeze and Fandango (Tag Team match)

Although WWE hinted an end to the Slater-Rhyno faction, following their loss to Bray Wyatt and Randy Orton at TLC, the duo teamed up once again to uproot Breezango. Slater and Rhyno got huge pops, while Tyler Breeze and Fandango went fairly unnoticed.

Result: Heath Slater and Rhyno won

#7 Alexa Bliss vs. Becky Lynch ( Single match for the SmackDown Women's Championship)

Arguably the match of the night; Lynch and Alexa Bliss tore down the house with their amazing performance. Alexa Bliss looked all the more ‘precious’ with the SmackDown Women's Championship, while Becky was sensational as usual.

Result: Alexa Bliss retained over Becky Lynch

#8 The Miz vs. Dean Ambrose vs. Dolph Ziggler (Triple Threat match for the Intercontinental Championship)

The main event left fans ecstatic, as the three men produced a great match, to end a great night of wrestling.

All three received strong reactions, with The Miz garnering major heat for his heel antics. The end though was a little absurd, as the chinless wonder once again interfered to cost Ambrose the match.

Result: The Miz retained over Dean Ambrose and Dolph Ziggler.
