WWE Monday Night Raw Preview: 15 June, 2015

The big return

Money in the Bank concluded with mixed reactions. While most of the matches impressed the fans, certain decisions did not turn out to be popular. There will be a lot of questions among the WWE Universe after Money in the Bank and WWE will have to answer each one of them on Raw.

Unlike their last two pay-per-view outings, WWE has plenty of time for their Battleground buildup. The first chapter would be crucial for this. A big return also awaits the fans on Monday and if WWE does everything right, this week’s Raw could be awesome. Here is a look at some of the things that WWE might serve us on Monday Night.

New Mr. Money in the Bank

New Mr. Money in the Bank

The biggest shock from Money in the Bank has to be the victory of Sheamus. Sheamus surprised everyone when he walked out of there with the briefcase. This angle now opens up a lot of possibilities for the WWE creative team. As we know already, Brock Lesnar is scheduled to work at Battleground so we might have a match between Sheamus and Lesnar for the briefcase.

Roman Reigns could stake his claim for the briefcase as well. No matter what WWE has planned for Sheamus, the Celtic warrior will get a lot of heat when he comes out on Raw. The direction he takes after the win will also be clear once the weekly flagship show gets rolling on Monday Night.

Wyatt Family goes after the belt

Harper and Rowan will have a crack at the titles

The only thing that was holding Wyatt Family back from entering the title scene was New Day. Two heel teams going up against each other wouldn’t have made sense, but this problem is no more. Prime Time Players were crowned tag team champs at Money in the Bank. And we can now look forward to a showdown between Wyatt Family and the champions.

Once this feud gets over, Wyatt Family will be holding the gold. However, the journey till then promises to be entertaining. WWE is still rooting for the Wyatt Family vs. Team 3D match at SummerSlam which might result in a title change at Battleground. New Day has their rematch clause as well making it an interesting scenario.

Why Bray Why

Bray Wyatt has some questions to answer

If it wasn’t for Bray Wyatt, we would have had Roman Reigns as our Mr. Money in the Bank. It was a classic case of Bray interfering in matches and thanks to this, WWE has a hot feud on their hands. Bray was in the depths of irrelevance till now, but he now has a good chance to bounce back. Reigns, on the other hand, was probably sacrificed to avoid the negative fan reaction.

He was the favorite in the Money in the Bank match and Sheamus winning it proved to be a swerve. Roman reacting to Bray and Bray’s reasons will be a major part of this week’s Raw. We could see these two having a feud all the way to SummerSlam.

Have we seen the last of Cena and Owens?

We would not mind another match, would we?

Kevin Owens and John Cena gave out a ‘Match of the Year’ contender at Money in the Bank. These superstars not only told a story in between the ropes, but also excelled in the action. The post-match angle where Owens disrespected Cena was the icing on the cake. With an ending like this, it would not be a big surprise if these two men have a tiebreaker match.

Battleground could host a match bout between the two, but WWE will need to add something fresh. The fans will not appreciate the same booking that WWE did for the past two pay-per-views. All of these come into context only if WWE wants another match between Owens and Cena.

The Return of the Beast

Brace Yourself

The Brock Lesnar fans are in for a treat on Monday Night. Lesnar and his manager Paul Heyman are scheduled to make a return this week. The way in which WWE reintroduce Lesnar after the suspension angle will be something worth looking forward to. Now that Rollins has the title, Lesnar would want a title match that he deserves.

Dean Ambrose, however, has equal claim on the gold. The only way in which WWE could settle this is by a No.1 contenders match at Battleground. But that is in the future. As far as Raw is concerned, brace yourselves to see Brock Lesnar return and run rampage on anyone who stands in his path.
