The first Raw of the month will follow the footsteps of the Elimination Chamber Pay Per View. So much happened in that PPV but it will mostly be known as the WWE passing the baton to the future. For once, two men who’re not even 30 yet, main evented the PPV and the NXT Champion fought in his first main roster match and won, making a bold statement.

For a PPV that did not have much of a build or mammoth hype, it did pretty darn well. It beckons to question how interesting Raw is going to be.

Here are the things that could possibly take place on Raw in a few hours-

Cena gets a rematch

Cena has a tough night ahead.

John Cena did a rare thing on Sunday. He got pinned clean by his opponent. That’s something that he hasn’t done often. It was announced during the PPV that Cena will get his rematch at Money In The Bank. Cena is expected to come address this development. And maybe, after that he’ll put his weekly challenge forth and have another great match.

Or we might even see Owens making another appearance, another sneak attack or just another promo segment with the face who still runs the place. Anyway, John Cena is the man to watch because it’ll be interesting to see him react to this rare clean loss that he’s suffered at the hands of a superstar who’s been in the WWE for only 2 weeks.

Owens Is The Next Big Thing

Owens stood tall.

Kevin Owens was arguably the star of the night. He had a classic match with Cena. He pinned him clean without any assistance. He seems like the next big thing. You know who else was the Next Big Thing?

Brock Lesnar.

Reports are already doing the rounds that Cena may get a win at Money In The Bank but it will be like the one at Night of Champions against The Beast Incarnate. The way Owens was pushed in NXT showed traces of a Lesnar-esque push. It looks like it’s going to continue on the main roster.

Impending returns

Randy Orton may return this week.

For weeks now, it’s been rumored that Big Show will return to The Authority But that hasn’t happened as yet. Expect Monday to be the day that Show makes his impending return. We’ve also not seen the Viper in the roster since he took the pinfall loss in the fatal four-way match at Payback.

The Viper may also make a return to Raw this week after 2 weeks of absence.

Sheamus’ Heel Momentum

Ryback Vs Sheamus- New feud.

One interesting aspect to come out of the Elimination Chamber match for the Intercontinental title was the final battle between Sheamus and Ryback. Ryback pinned Sheamus to win his first singles’ title in the WWE.

But heel Sheamus may not be done yet and this may be the kickoff a new feud in the IC title picture. Since heel Sheamus has been a revelation, his momentum may continue and he may be the primary candidate for the no. 1 contendership of the title that Ryback now proudly holds.

Main Event Follow-up

Ambrose took away the WWE World Heavyweight Championship

Nothing could have followed up the brilliant match between Owens and Cena but Ambrose VS Rollins came pretty darn close. If it wasn’t for the finish, then it would have clearky been the shock of the night. That is rare on a noght when Cena takes a clean loss.

But Ambrose looked Rollins in the eye and took the title away with him through the crowd with his Shield brother in tow. Rollins could only stand there wide eyed and scream. Ambrose is still not out of the title picture. And Rollins is still the WWE World Heavyweight Champion.

It remains to be seen how WWE follows this up.
