WWE Monday Night Raw preview: 7th November, 2016

Against a common enemy

Another week of WWE programming is just around the corner and just like the past couple of weeks that went by, WWE would be looking to build up Survivor Series. This week, the fans of Glasgow will be treated to the live experience of Raw and after what happened last week, there are a string of interesting things that could go down in the episode.

But as mentioned earlier, the hype surrounding Survivor Series would still be the epicenter of WWE’s plans. Without further preface, here is a look at the things that we could expect from the latest edition of Monday Night Raw.

#5 The small reunion

Time to join forces with Reigns?

The dirty deeds of Kevin Owens and Chris Jericho seem to have reunited former Shield buddies Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns. Last week, Rollins came down to the aid of Reigns and though these two men have differences against each other in a perfect kayfabe world, the common enemy is what brings them together.

A tag team feud involving these four has solid potential since the subplot of the Reigns – Rollins relationship enhances the whole thing.

If WWE is indeed taking the path, they should try to give Owens some limelight as he is bound to get overshadowed by the other three even though his Universal championship is the main point of conflict in the storyline.

#4 Cruiserweight dilemma

Kendrick could take the division to a different level

The cruiserweight division recently got a new lifeline as WWE announced their weekly Cruiserweight show.

Though we are still not clear about how it would change the whole scenario, it does provide the wrestlers in the division to be what they really are. While this is going to be a subplot for the division, the major talking point would be the feud between TJ Perkins and Brian Kendrick.

Kendrick won the title from Perkins at Hell in a Cell and their feud is far from over. With the veteran experience that Kendrick has, his title reign is something that WWE could bank in on and elevate the Cruiserweight division as a whole.

#3 Dolph Ziggler challenge

Who will answer his challenge

With Survivor Series being a dual brand deal, we were bound to see Raw vs. SmackDown matches. The three traditional elimination matches met these expectations and as a bonus, the fans also got an open invitation from Intercontinental champion Dolph Ziggler.

Ziggler issued the challenge to all the superstars on Monday Night Raw and Stephanie McMahon and Mick Foley will be in search for the right candidate.

With the comedic element that Raw has to showcase on their roster, this scenario could be used to come up with some entertaining segments and hopefully, WWE would understand the same and make use of it rather than not even mentioning it on Raw.

#2 Filling the Survivor Series team

Charlotte as captain is an interesting affair

Speaking of Raw vs. SmackDown matches, the three traditional elimination matches still have slots to be filled.

In the singles category, Raw still has one place left in their team. The image of Sami Zayn as the last member had been making rounds throughout the internet this past week and it would be interesting to see whether it would indeed be Sami Zayn.

There are slots to be filled in the women’s and tag team categories as well. The interesting part about the Women’s team would be the leadership of Charlotte and how she gets along with her teammates. Whereas in the tag team division, New Day as team leaders guarantees one thing above all: Entertainment.

#1 Goldberg and Lesnar to be on the shelf?

Using Heyman to fill the gap would be a great idea

Brock Lesnar vs. Goldberg is one of the biggest draws for Survivor Series.

Goldberg will be wrestling his first match in more than a decade and that too, against someone as hot as Brock Lesnar. Despite some major shortcomings, the match does have money written all over it. WWE has been building the same up pretty well but they might take a backseat this week.

The part-time deals that they had with Lesnar and Goldberg were going to be a big problem for the buildup of the Survivor Series match and this will be evident if both of them are absent this week on Raw. Not hyping one of the biggest matches on the Survivor Series card just two weeks away from the event is not something WWE fans would want.
