Monday night Raw made its pit stop at the Baltimore Arena in Maryland on the 21st of April as the WWE universe witnessed the return of World Champion Daniel Bryan. But what accompanied was the Devil’s son being reborn again as Kane interrupted in his big red monster form and unleashed his destruction mode. While the tournament for the no.1 contender of Intercontinental Championship continued this week again and The Shield confronted the Evolution. The storyline of the feuds are getting stronger as we head into the Extreme Rules pay-per-view. Here are the results from last night’s episode.

Daniel Bryan annihilated by Kane

The show opened with Daniel Bryan welcomed with the ‘Yes!’ chants by the crowd in attendance while Brie Bella stood waiting for him in the ring. They married couple embraced each other but their celebrations were interrupted when Stephanie McMahon appeared. She announced that Kane would be Daniel Bryan’s opponent in Extreme Rules and warned Brie to stay out of Kane’s way.

Destruction followed when Kane’s entrance theme hit the arena and he took the Daniel Bryan apart. The Big Red Monster delivered three Tombstone Pile Drivers on Bryan including one of the steel steps while the last one on the announcement table. A shattered Daniel Bryan was carried off in a stretcher and taken to a local medical center. Complete silence took over the Baltimore arena after this incident.

Bad News Barrett vs Sheamus

The second round of the tournament to determine the no.1 contender for the Intercontinental Champion continued as Bad News Barrett took on the Celtic Warrior, Sheamus, and defeated him with a Bullhammer to his face. The Irish’s luck ran out as he could not deliver the Brogue Kick to his face as Barrett ducked under his move before executing the White Noise which earned him a win.

Los Matadores vs 3MB( with Hornswoggle)

The tag teams of Los Matadores and 3MB squared off this week after the ‘match of the century’ between Hornswoggle and El Torito last Friday on Smackdown. Drew Mcintyre charged up Hornswoggle by slapping him who in turn exchanged slaps with El Torito. Drew Mcintyre took a blow between his legs and then El Torito teamed up with the Matadores to hop on to his chest and slam him to the ground.

The reunited Evolution came out in their old school suits and showed clips of their beatdowns just to remind all how dominant they were. Triple H used his humorous words to insult the Shield while Batista claimed that the Shield were in for big trouble. Well the hounds of justice didn’t let them bark for too long as they barged into the ring while Evolution. Ambrose reminded Triple H that The Shield was hired to offer protection to Randy Orton while Roman Reigns was pumped up for a fight right then. They charged towards the trio but The Game still have enough man power to stop them from doing so.

The Usos vs Cody Rhodes and Goldust

Tag team champions Usos faced off against Rhodes and Goldust in a tag team match where The Usos won via three count after Jay Usos kicked Cody in the face when he tried to apply the Cross Rhodes. A frustrated Cody shoved his brother and headed back into the locker room where they were attacked by Ryback and Axel who left them lying flat on the floor.

Winner : The Usos

Layla vs Emma

The feud of the dancing couples continued as Layla was involved in another feud with Emma. While Fandango and Santino engaged in a fight of their own outside the ring, the NXT diva did a Santino move as she pulled out a pink sock and hit Layla with it while Layla was mocking her dancing moves.

Cesaro vs Rob Van Dam

With Paul Heyman in his corner, Cesaro was considered one of the favourites for the Intercontinental no.1 contender’s tournament. But he had to go through the high flying Rob Van Dam to secure his spot. The Swiss Superman delivered an upper cut while Van Dam was tied to the ropes. As he was about send the former ECW superstar for swing, Zeb Colter and Jack Swagger interrupted and cost Cesaro the match via count-out. After the match Cesaro took his former partner Swagger for a with a mammoth Cesaro Swing.

Aksana vs Paige

The divas battle saw the new Divas Champion Paige battle against Aksana once again as Aksana started out on the offence. But she was evaded by the divas champion who hit a knee to her chest and gained the momentum from then on. Although she lost her advantage as Aksana kept on fighting back, Paige locked in the modified scorpion crosslock to add another win since her impressive debut.

Alexander Rusev vs Sin Cara

The Belgian Brute was once again in action demonstrating his physicality over the high flying Sin Cara. The luchador tried to overcome Rusev with his speed and hit a number of offensive moves. But it only angered the Bulgarian as he man handled Sin Cara in the ring locked in The Accolade to pick up a win.

The Wyatt Family vs John Cena

John Cena and the Wyatts were involved in the main event of the night as the WWE universe had the choice to pick Cena’s opponent through the WWE App which could be either or all of them. The fans wanted to see John struggle in a handicap situation as they tossed him against all the three members of the Wyatt Family. The match started with The Wyatts having a ball time in the ring and manhandling Cena and using him as a punching bag. After taking a lot of blows, Cena tried to fight back after a lengthy scrap with The Eater of Worlds, Harper and Rowan started attacking him rather than let him pin Wyatt which led to their disqualification. The post-destruction continued after the bell rang as Cena was left bent and broken in the middle of the ring.
