The Lunatic Fringe Shall return soon

How does one reason with the recent episodes of Raw which have been haphazard, repetitive and sometimes redundant? It seems to be intentional. There is Monday Night Football which appears to be taking away most of WWE’s viewers. The pace of the episodes might change in the coming weeks but the past 3 weeks have been devoid of memorable moments. Only two people had something outstanding to deliver in each of those episodes. One is Paul Heyman and the other is Seth Rollins.

There is no doubt that the rivalry between Rollins and Ambrose has turned out to be the best rivalry out there right now. Yes, Cena and Lesnar may be the most hyped rivalry and they have been interesting till now. But despite the fact that these two heavyweight veterans are bound to get the spotlight, the two youngsters and former teammates have put forth the most engaging storyline of this year. All of their matches have been better than the last. Their feud has refused to get monotonous. And add to all that Ambrose has been absent for the past 3 weeks. As far as anyone knows, he isn’t in any medical institution getting treated. He just went missing and for all we know might have been wandering about in the streets.

Backed Up by Momentum

This absence and the below par episodes of Raw have certainly made an Ambrose return more exciting. The fact is that anyone coming back from an injury, who has been popular with the audience, usually comes back with a huge lot of momentum. Ambrose’s return might guarantee quite an ovation. And the fact that Rollins has had great matches over the past few weeks only gets more attention.

The build up to Night Of Champions has not been stellar. It hasn’t been much of a build up, actually. It has been quite lukewarm. The most hyped match is obviously the main event between blue moon Brock Lesnar and company man John Cena. And the other hyped match is between Reigns and Rollins which we got to watch on Raw. There isn’t much intrigue in this match between these two former Shield brethren and wisely so because the other Shield brethren is set to return soon enough and as several reports go, it might happen at NoC. And there you have it, the third exciting part of the pay per view- An Ambrose Return. The reason behind the excitement is the unpredictability of this situation. Sure the reports are out but how many of them actually come true to the point of being precise. The return will happen but they might just tease a return at NoC but not let that happen and in that process getting more attention for next weeks episode of Raw.

Taking Little Steps

Anyway, things ought to get interesting once Ambrose returns. Reigns will be back in the semi- main event picture where, I guess, he’ll be busy being put over by veterans or actually coming out to look like the heir apparent to John Cena. So far, that pursuit hasn’t really been up to the mark.

While the company will want you to take Cena vs Lesnar more seriously as they are and have been money spinners for the company, the three Shield members are not up there in the hierarchy yet. They are getting there, though. And while Cena is the biggest money generator, being a full time superstar, it will be hard to fill those shoes.

It takes a special gimmick to get the attention of the fans and it takes good writing to make that gimmick special. But it takes a superstar to actually sell that gimmick to the audience.

Dean Ambrose will return and set his feud with Rollins back into motion.

I can’t imagine how berserk the crowd will go once the biggest babyface of the company, Daniel Bryan, returns.

What makes Sting special? His first AEW opponent opens up RIGHT HERE.
