Negative backstage reactions to Rollins' lengthy absence, original plans for the Architect

Are you freaking kidding me!

WWE’s perspective of it’s respective stars is always a major topic of discussion and we usually get an idea of the same by the way a star is booked.

When it comes to Rollins, it is quite evident that the WWE think very highly of him. But his injury hasn’t been received the way he must have expected.

Backstage reports suggest that a few authorities in the back feel that losing Rollins is not equivalent to losing a top draw star such as The Rock or Stone Cold Steve Austin for a lengthy span. It is even said that if John Cena and Randy Orton wouldn’t have been sidelined, WWE would not have blinked an eye when it comes to losing Rollins.

According to PWInsider, even though WWE see Rollins as a major part of their plans, they wouldn’t have even broken a sweat if established stars such as Orton and Cena were around. Make no mistake to note that, Rollins will still be on the receiving end of a substantial push on his eventual return.

It’s just that his absence doesn't really affect the WWE as much.

This supports earlier reports which stated that WWE didn’t panic when they lost their former WWE World Champion, as they already had plans in place when it comes to WrestleMania 32.

Rollins was reportedly not involved in the main event plans for the show of shows, as the Creative team had already lined up 3-4 main event matches that didn’t involve the Architect. Before his unfortunate injury, Rollins was set to drop the WWE title to Roman Reigns at Survivor Series and let the Samoan Superman have a run with the title up until WrestleMania 32.

Even though Rollins is still viewed as a pivotal player in the eyes of the officials, they still don’t see him at Cena and Orton’s level – as far as drawing power goes.

The eventual bottom line is, Rollins will be back as a potential babyface and would continue to get the push he had been getting, but this time around the dimensions and angles would be a little different.
