WWE News: Ambrose Asylum segment to be held for SmackDown Live

The Ambrose Asylum returns after many months

According to 411Mania.com, former WWE World Champion Dean Ambrose will be holding a segment of “Ambrose Asylum” on this week’s episode of SmackDown Live. His guest on the first “Ambrose Asylum”, since the brand split will be none other than WWE’s newest signee, James Ellsworth.

The last edition of the talk show was held all the way back on June 13th, which happened to be the go-home show of Money In The Bank, where the world title was passed around like a hot potato, by all three members of the Shield.

In the segment above, Ambrose had teased cashing in the Money In The Bank briefcase, if he won it, and that is exactly what he did to win the WWE World Championship. However, this upcoming SmackDown Live is the go-home show for TLC: Tables, Ladders, & Chairs.

There is only a two-week window gap between Survivor Series and TLC, which makes it harder to build a pay-per-view.

Perhaps this is the reason a majority of the matches on the card so far, are rehashes from feuds that have been going on for a while now. The only new match that hasn’t been done before will be the Tag Team Championship match where Heath Slater & Rhyno will face either American Alpha or Bray Wyatt & Randy Orton.

Dean Ambrose is set to face AJ Styles in the main event of TLC in a TLC match. It will be interesting to see what James Ellsworth, who is now 3-0 up on AJ Styles has to say on the talk show.

The “Ambrose Asylum” was introduced during the early days of the New Era, when Shane McMahon was temporarily running Raw. Dean Ambrose’s feud with Jericho from April began properly when “Ambrose Asylum” replaced Chris Jericho’s talk show, “The Highlight” Reel”.
