Hulk Hogan Arrives In Australia Ahead Of Hulkmania Tour

  • In a follow-up to a story last night, it does indeed appear that WWE is looking to bring Xavier Woods to the main roster soon, hence his recent involvement in the storyline with the Big Show. WWE officials have reportedly been high on Woods for quite some time now, and in fact have wanted to call him up to the main roster in the past, but were unable to do so as he’s been sidelined for a bit with an injury. At this time, the severity of his injury is unknown, but if WWE are expecting to call him up soon, it’s likely it’s either not serious or he will be fully healed from it in the near future.
  • In a correction to a story I reported last night, CM Punk will in fact be facing both Ryback and Paul Heyman in a 2-on-1 Handicap Hell in a Cell Match at the upcoming PPV, instead of a standard 1-on-1 contest with Ryback.
  • Dave Meltzer of FW4Online.com and the Wrestling Observer newsletter is reporting that 2-time Hall of Famer “Nature Boy” Ric Flair has either just finished WWE-sponsored rehab or will very soon. Flair was claiming that he was staying with his daughter Ashleigh (NXT star Charlotte) due to some health problems, namely blood clots in his leg. However, that may have been a cover story. WWE wanted him to go to rehab after a recent stint promoting the new WWE video game wound up with Flair being drunk and belligerent at the event, embarrassing the company in the process. Flair reportedly did not want to go as he didn’t feel he had a problem, but that doesn’t mean that he didn’t eventually succumb to WWE’s wishes.
  • Last night on RAW, Cody Rhodes and Goldust won the WWE Tag Team Championship from Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins. However, that may not have been the original plan for the belts. The first version of the plan called for Rhodes and Goldust still winning the belts, but at the Hell in a Cell PPV, rather than on RAW. Vince McMahon reportedly made the last-minute change, and the new plan for the PPV is for the new champs to defend against the former champs and the Usos in a 3-way tag team match.
  • The Bella Twins vs. AJ Lee and Tamina Snuka is being discussed for Hell in a Cell, but nothing has been confirmed thus far.
  • Bray Wyatt vs. The Miz was planned for Hell in a Cell, which explains their interaction on RAW last night. However, it may be postponed for a bit, as Wyatt has not been medically cleared to return to the ring after his injury over the weekend.
  • Triple H vs. The Big Show is also being discussed for Survivor Series in November.
