Rey Mysterio

  • Former TNA Knockout Rosita recently spoke to VOC Wrestling Nation about wanting to work for WWE in the future: “Absolutely. Since I was four years old, I knew that this was something I wanted to do. This was my dad’s dream as well. He took me to WWE events as a child all the time. I knew from a young age that this was something I wanted to do – being the women’s champion, working Wrestlemania. Some people get into wrestling because they want to do it for a living, they’re happy working the independents or just wrestling anywhere, and they don’t care about working for WWE; for me, I’m not fully (fulfilled yet) in my wrestling career. Plus, I’ve only been doing it for 5 years and I have a long way to go.” She also stated that she left TNA on good terms and would be open to working there again if the right opportunity came up.
  • Rey Mysterio made a run-in at Tuesday night’s live event in Queretaro. World Champion Alberto Del Rio had just defeated Sin Cara, and Mysterio ran in to prevent a post-match beatdown. This is a strong sign that Mysterio is just about ready to return to the ring.
  • Former WWE star John Morrison will be starring in an upcoming horror movie called Minutes to Midnight, co-starring with Richard Greico.
  • Colt Cabana, who briefly wrestled for WWE as Scotty Goldman a few years ago, was reportedly headed to WWE to tryout as an announcer, something he has tried out for in the past. In regards to whether he got the job, Cabana posted the following via his official Twitter account: “No WWE for me. They’ve ‘courted me’ for over a year about an announcing gig. I’m sure they will now detract it. I’m a PODCASTER!”
  • It has been noted that John Cena is Big E Langston’s biggest supporter behind the scenes, and while Langston is not in any kind of trouble, due to Cena being absent the last couple of months with an injury, WWE creative had mostly cooled on pushing Langston as a major star. Now that Cena is back, look for Langston to have a stronger television presence from here on out.
  • All new WWE contracts now have a morality clause added to them, which basically states that the performer in question has no inappropriate photos or videos floating around on the internet or in print form, such as nude photos. Once the contract has been signed by a talent, if any such material is found in the aftermath, not only will talent be fired/not hired if they are new, but they will in fact be blacklisted by WWE, killing any future plans with the company.
  • WWE officials are reportedly very disappointed with the reaction Brie Bella has been getting from fans, specifically why she was not given a more sympathetic reaction during the beatdown she received from Tamina Snuka on Monday night. The reality is that most WWE fans have never been very interested in the Bellas, and the reaction to their recent return was overwhelmingly negative, with most fans believing they were only hired back due to their off-screen relationships with John Cena and Daniel Bryan (which is very likely true).
  • Although a little stale lately, WWE COO Paul “Triple H” Levesque is still extremely interested in breathing new life into the tag team division and once again making it an important part of WWE. Currently, he is looking to hopefully bring up a couple of teams from NXT who he feels are ready for TV, as well as do some reshuffling in the current roster by putting new teams together. There is also talk of reuniting International Airstrike-Justin Gabriel and Tyson Kidd-and making them a bigger part of the division.
  • Richie Steamboat, son of WWE Hall of Famer Ricky “The Dragon” Steamboat, is still out of action, recovering from back surgery he had done last year. Although still under contract to WWE, it is unknown if he will be able to return to in-ring action once he is recuperated.
