The cause of the death of former WWE superstar Chyna has finally been revealed as per a report by Pro Wrestling Sheet. Perhaps the most dominant women’s Superstar in the history of the business, the ‘Ninth Wonder of the World’ was found dead at her home in California on April 20th this year.
An autopsy that was carried out by a Los Angeles County Medical Examiner has been completed, and the results have confirmed that the death was a result of a ‘combined effect of drugs and alcohol’.

The outcome of the autopsy seems to vindicate earlier reports by Pro Wrestling Sheet about Chyna’s drinking problems prior to her death. Speaking to the website just days after the Superstar passed away, Erik Angra, the director of her documentary, had disclosed that her alcohol consumption had increased drastically during her last few days.
This was because Chyna expected that her documentary would brighten her chances of getting inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame and that she would be contacted by the company to get things rolling. But when things did not work out that way, she went into depression and started drinking heavily.
While there was not much interest shown by the WWE in giving the company’s only female Intercontinental Champion a Hall of Fame induction earlier, her death has certainly prompted them to consider it.
The WWE’s Chief Brand Officer, Stephanie McMahon, confirmed in May this year that Chyna would surely be inducted into the Hall of Fame at some point but she was unable to say which year it would happen. Triple H also said in an interview a few days after her death that she completely deserved the honour.
