WWE News: Big E returns at SummerSlam

The muscle of The New Day has recovered from ring post-itis!

SummerSlam saw a tag team championship bout between New Day and The Club. Jon Stewart, when making his appearance on the biggest stage, said that he regretted what he had done to John Cena last year (when he hit Cena with a steel chair and cost him his match against Seth Rollins), and then announced his alliance with The New Day.

As The Club hit the Magic Killer on Kofi Kingston and were about to win the match, Stewart distracted The Club, who then were about to give Jon Stewart ringpost-itis, as had they done with Big E. Just as they were about to attack Stewart, Big E came out to a huge pop, and attacked Karl Anderson and Luke Gallows, thus disqualifying New Day.

This was probably planned so that on Raw, New Day would be able to reach 365 days of their title reign, thus completing a full year. It is highly likely that there will be a rematch on Raw tomorrow to acknowledge the dusty finish, and that The Club will be crowned champions tomorrow night. However, The Club would have to get through the returning Big E if they are to have a shot at the title.
