WWE News: Big plans for Wrestlemania 33 week

Vince McMahon in this year’s Wrestlemania announcement conference that took place a few days before Wrestlemania

Wrestlemania weekend has expanded into Wrestlemania week due to the magnanimity of the event. Since Smackdown went live to Tuesday nights this year, it has been added as an extension to Wrestlemania week. Therefore, The Hall Of Fame (31st March), NXT Takeover (1st April), Wrestlemania 33 (2nd April), Raw (3rd April) and Smackdown Live (4th April) will be part of this weekend.

Except Wrestlemania 33 – which takes place at the Camping World Stadium, all the other above-mentioned events will be taking place at the Amway Center in Orlando, Florida

In fact, according to Wrestlingnews.co, there are talks of having NXT Tapings on Wednesday, April 5th, after Smackdown Live. If Wrestlemania 33 is sold out early, there may even be a closed circuit screening at the Amway Center for Wrestlemania 33, similar to how it was done in the 80s for their big shows.

Since the packages usually involve Axxess and other activities, there is also talk of doing something in the Performance Center, where fans can tour the facility.

After the brand split, WWE have begun to make the weekends of the big four shows of the year an eventful outing. While it is not official for Royal Rumble, it is believed that there will be an NXT Takeover preceding it as well. Also, the Royal Rumble is returning to the Alamodome for the first time in 20 years and will be trying to fill in over 65,000 people for the event.
