Ever since their face-to-face confrontation during the Andre the Giant memorial battle royal at WrestleMania 32 in Dallas, Texas, a one-on-one between Big Show and Shaquille O’Neal was always on the cards. After the 2016 Espy awards at Los Angeles, the dream match is on the verge of becoming a reality as Show issued a challenge to Shaq when they both came face to face yet again.
During the red carpet of Espy’s, Show and Shaq had a confrontation and appeared to have formally agreed to a match at WrestleMania 33 in Orlando. There were some speculations that Shaq may be inducted into the Celebrity Wing of the WWE Hall of Fame next year as he has ties to Orlando from his NBA career.

The LA Lakers legend Shaq is no stranger to WWE as he has appeared in some live shows in the past. It all started in 2009 when he was the guest host for an episode of Monday Night Raw in which he had some altercations with the World’s largest athlete.
After seven years, Shaq made a return to WWE as a surprise entrant in this year’s Andre the Giant memorial battle royal at Wrestlemania. He eliminated Damien Sandow and confronted Big Show with a throat-to-throat before all the other participants knocked both Show and Shaq out.
This won’t be the first time that Big Show will be facing a celebrity at WrestleMania. The former WWE champion has already faced Boxing great Floyd Mayweather in a match at WrestleMania 24.
