WWE News: Brock Lesnar receives temporary suspension after 2 failed drug tests

Lesnar will now get a formal hearing

WWE Superstar Brock Lesnar has received a temporary suspension from the Nevada State Athletic Commission at a hearing earlier today. The Beast Incarnate had failed two drug tests earlier this year when his samples from June 28 and July 9 tested positive for hydroxy-clomiphene – an anti-estrogen blocker which is also on the banned list of substances.

The two tests were conducted before his UFC 200 fight against Mark Hunt, which Lesnar eventually won. The Beast Incarnate is expected to receive a formal hearing, wherein the charges levied against him will be evaluated and he will be sentenced as deemed fit. The Commission will set a date for the hearing of Lesnar and he is expected to face up to two years from both USADA and the NSAC along with fines for the failed tests.

Following his win at UFC 200, Lesnar has made his return to the WWE and has been feuding with The Viper, Randy Orton. The two contested a match at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn at SummerSlam on Sunday, with the fight being billed as ‘15 years in the making’. The match ended with an unhinged Brock Lesnar unloading on a near-lifeless Randy Orton, who was bleeding profusely.

The Beast Incarnate had dominated the match and had taken the Apex Predator to Suplex City on numerous occasions. Lesnar followed it with a barrage of elbow’s to the skull of the Viper, which left him bloodied. He then F-5ed Shane McMahon, who had come to ensure the well-being of his fighter. It is now being rumoured that the Beast Incarnate will feud with Shane-O-Mac until Royal Rumble.

But what effect will the suspension have on the 4-time World Champion, will WWE suspend him for Wellness Policy violations – just like Roman Reigns, Alberto Del Rio, Paige and Eva Marie, or is he too important for the company?
