WWE News: Finn Balor denies Roadblock rumours

Balor won’t be appearing at Roadblock

According to Frank Palmer of http://www.screengeek.net, Finn Balor, who recently appeared at Wizard World in Pittsburgh, had a little Q&A session with the fans. During the Q&A session, someone asked if the rumours regarding his return at Roadblock were true. Balor replied saying that he had heard of such rumours but believes that it was a mistake.

Balor added that WWE submitted the advertisement for Roadblock to the PPG Paints Arena, before SummerSlam, which was before his injury, and it was expected that he would headline Roadblock. Balor, further added that the advertisement just needed to be updated nothing else and finally ended it with:

“I will 100% guarantee that I will be home with my family and friends at Christmas. I will be back in 2017,”

For those who need a little background on this rumour, the PPG Paints Arena released an advertisement on their official website, featuring Finn Balor for WWE’s upcoming RAW-exclusive Pay-Per-View, Roadblock which will be held in Pittsburgh on December 18th, despite being out of action because of a shoulder injury.

Balor sustained the shoulder injury mentioned above, after getting powerbomb by Seth Rollins on the outside barricade, during their match for the WWE Universal Championship at SummerSlam in August. After several tests, it was revealed that Finn suffered multiple injuries, which he actually tweeted out for the fans to know.

Even after sustaining the injury in the middle of his match at SummerSlam, Balor defeated Seth Rollins and became the first-ever Universal Champion. Unfortunately, Balor had to relinquish the title the very next day. After Balor relinquished the title, Kevin Owens won it in a Fatal-4-Way Elimination Match and has been going strong ever since.

Kevin Owens and Roman Reigns are scheduled to face-off against each other at Roadblock for the WWE Universal Championship in a Champion vs. Champion match. This match was announced by the PPG Paints Arena through their Twitter account.

In conclusion, one really interesting thing to note is that Balor is still being advertised on the Roadblock page of the PPG Paints Arena. So, is Balor playing with us? Or have they still not recognised their mistake and forgotten to update it? Whatever the case may be, everything will be resolved only at Roadblock.
