WWE News: Former World Champion talks about Lesnar's UFC return

Jericho is set to wrestle in 2 Live Events at Japan

Brock Lesnar’s return to UFC is one of the hottest topics in sports entertainment industry, as of now. His return to the octagon was shocking as Lesnar is currently under a WWE contract. This led to rumours that there is some kind of deal between the sports entertainment and mixed martial arts promotions, and some UFC stars may be expected in WWE shows as well.

Undoubtedly, Brock Lesnar has been one the biggest draws for WWE and UFC. Some critics felt that if the Beast loses his return match at UFC 200, then his dominance in WWE may get hampered.

Recently, the former WWE World Champion, Chris Jericho provided his take regarding this topic. As reported by cagesideseats.com, Jericho had an interview with For the Win, where he said that Vince McMahon was not much impressed with Lesnar’s decision for a UFC return but agreed eventually. He also said that WWE is going to get something back whether that’s Ronda Rousey or Conor McGregor or anyone else.

Due to his long tenure with the company, Jericho has been more of an insider than the average talent on WWE’s roster. So, when Y2J was asked, what will happen if Lesnar loses at UFC 200, he replied that Brock Lesnar could lose in 20 seconds but he has the potential to beat the entire roster the very next night and to be the most over guy in the company.

Chris also feels that Lesnar’s return to UFC will strengthen his position and he has nothing to lose. He believes that this makes Brock a bigger star, and it makes WWE bigger.
