– Alberto Del Rio has been one of the most talented wrestlers who has graced the WWE ring. Del Rio had a great stint in the WWE winning multiple championships only to quit and return back last year. It was rumoured that Del Rio had quit the WWE due to problems backstage, especially with Triple H. Del Rio returned to the WWE and beat John Cena for the US Title. Since then, Del Rio has not been doing much and faces the danger of becoming irrelevant.
To add to that, there have been rumours that Del Rio might still have some problems backstage. It has been speculated that even though Triple H admires Del Rio’s in-ring value, he does not trust him as a person. Del Rio has had issues with Triple H in the past and it looks like that is what is preventing Del Rio from climbing to the top once again.
Del Rio was promised a main event push when he came back to the company, but it is rumoured that Triple H has asked Mr.McMahon to abstain from giving Del Rio any powers or leverage in the company, that Del Rio might use against the company.
Del Rio is a huge star and it would not be difficult for him to find work anywhere else and thus, WWE does not want him to leave. There was also a speculation noted by the Observer that the WWE might bring in Melissa Santos from Lucha Underground as Del Rio’s personal announcer and repackage him with a different gimmick.
