WWE Rumours: Goldberg or Sting may be the The Undertaker's final WrestleMania opponent

Will the Deadman wrestle another match at WrestleMania?

With just a few months left for WrestleMania 33, speculation has already started, regarding the next opponent of The Undertaker at the grandest event of the WWE.

As rumours indicate that the upcoming WrestleMania will possibly be the last, in the illustrious career of the Deadman, the hype about his opponent has reached a new degree. According to some recent reports, The Undertaker’s final Wrestlemania bout may be against Goldberg.

Some other names that are discussed as viable opponents include Sting and John Cena.

After making his triumphant return to the WWE, Goldberg is now working an angle with Brock Lesnar. It must be noted that the former WCW World Champion, has signed a one-match deal with the company and is not expected to be involved with in-ring competition, after his match at Survivor Series.

WWE will need to re-negotiate with Goldberg in order to book him in a feud with The Undertaker.

On the other hand, Sting has already pursued his interest to wrestle the Phenom at WrestleMania. In several interviews, the Icon has mentioned The Undertaker as his dream opponent and stated his desire to compete with him in his last match.

Sting is currently recovering from a neck injury, which he had suffered during his match with Seth Rollins at Night of Champions 2015. Even if he recovers, it is doubtful that WWE will allow him to wrestle one again, that too against the Undertaker.

Some creatives believe that an encounter between John Cena and the Undertaker at WrestleMania 33 will be ‘best for business’.

However, the Undertaker is yet to agree to another match at the event. Several rumours indicate that he is ‘done with wrestling’ after his battle with Shane McMahon at this year’s Wrestlemania.

Although two years have passed by, fans still discuss the shocking end to his legendary Wrestlemania streak. Brock Lesnar became the first wrestler to defeat the Undertaker at the grandest stage, making himself ‘the 1 in 21-1’.
