WWE News: Goldberg will be at Indianapolis this Sunday, but not for Clash Of Champions

One more time? Not just yet!

Clash Of Champions, the first Raw exclusive Pay-Per-View since the draft would go on floors this coming Sunday in Indianapolis. Incidentally, the man who has been rumored to return for a while now is going to be in the same town as well. Goldberg recently spoke to Submission Radio and told them that his booking in Indianapolis was done before he knew that Clash Of Champions would be in the same town:

"Oh man, I’ll be featured on Bischoff’s Podcast event. That’s about it in Indianapolis. It’s purely coincidence, man. It is what it is. I’m by no means trying to bilk off of WWE being in town. It was something that I found out kind of afterward."

After the Brock Lesnar-Randy Orton bout at Summerslam, fans in the Barclays Center were anticipating Goldberg’s return, but he didn’t show up. The reason that there has been so much buzz about a Goldberg return was the fact that he is a top-billed star for the promotion of WWE 2K17.

Usually, a legend who has not been mentioned for ages appearing in the WWE video game, tend to return in some form or the other. When The Ultimate Warrior was featured to be on 2K14, he returned for a Hall Of Fame induction in 2014. When Sting was featured for 2K15, he appeared and finally made his WWE debut at Survivor Series 2014.

Not to forget, last month there were rumors going around that Goldberg’s team had revealed that the wheels were in motion for a Goldberg return. Goldberg said that he won’t even be at Bankers Life Fieldhouse, the venue of the event because he hasn’t even been invited to it:

"Oh man, they don’t do that. They’ve got their own agenda, man. I’m a 49-year-old has-been over here that just so happens to be in their new video game, and it’s an honor for me to do it. It’s an honor for me to take place in it and hey, I have no issues with them anymore. Like I said, to be able to do anything with them at this point it is a true testament to my ability to deliver for my son. So that’s it."

Whatever it is, there have been signs pointing to the legend’s return at some point down the road. Given the shape he is in, there is undoubtedly more than just one match left in him.
