WWE News: Jeff Hardy on rumors of a WWE return and wrestling The Undertaker at Wrestlemania

Brother Nero(Jeff) and “Broken” Matt Hardy have been a big draw for TNA in 2016

In an interview with Sports Illustrated, Jeff Hardy spoke about his career. When asked the inevitable question about a WWE return, “Broken Brother Nero” said:

People always ask Matt and I if we’ll ever go back to WWE, but we are having such a good time with this creative liberty in TNA. We’re able to do what we want to do. The show is built around us, and that’s something that makes me really proud.”

Jeff has been very vocal that his dream match would be to wrestle The Undertaker at Wrestlemania. About that at this day and age, he said:

Wrestling ‘Taker is still a dream match I would love to make happen—though I don’t know how his health is or if he’ll ever return to ‘Mania—and I was stuck on that for the longest time. Now I’m open to the idea of being a part of something new rather than something old. The stuff Matt and I are doing is so creative and fun, and I want to continue this journey for as long as I can—and make TNA the best company it possibly can be.”

Jeff has also stated in the past, that one of his goals is to someday possibly main event Wrestlemania. Both the Hardy Brother’s contracts with TNA are set to expire on February 2017, but it is very unlikely that they will jump ship.

Before Anthem came into the picture, it would have been a high possibility given that TNA completely lacked the funding and had enormous debt weighing them down. However, with Anthem taking over, they paid off the debt owed to Billy Corgan (thus ending that saga), and likely would have paid off a lot of the parties that sued them for payments owed.

Not only will TNA dish out more money for the Hardy Boyz, who have been the biggest draw for TNA in 2016, but they will also continue to give them the creative freedom that they currently enjoy. In WWE, it is questionable as to whether they would enjoy the creative freedom they currently do.

There have been rumours for months that WWE has been pursuing the Hardy Boyz with interest on the “Broken” Matt Hardy character and storyline. WWE’s own response to the “Final Deletion” came when they had a New Day vs. The Wyatt Family in the Wyatt compound, with many fans accusing WWE of “ripping off” The Final Deletion.

There was even a sequel to Final Deletion called Delete Or Decay

On the 15th of December, Total Nonstop Deletion, is set to take place completely on the Hardy Compound:
