Ken Shamrock also won the WWE King of The Ring tournament in 1998

The first inductee of the UFC Hall of Fame and former WWE Superstar Ken Shamrock recently appeared on the Brown and Scoop podcast. Thanks to ewrestlingnews.com, below are some of the highlights from the interview:

Talking about his time in WWE, Shamrock credited Vince McMahon for crossing the line and building some of the most badass characters of the Attitude era:

“When I first came in, it wasn’t doing that well. The ratings weren’t there. Once I got there, I think Vince had this thought of trying to cross the lines… walk on the edge of what you can and can not do and say on TV. He pushed the envelope on that. He built characters that were no-nonsense, badass characters."

The former WWE intercontinental champion also discussed working with the Rock stating that he got to learn many things from the Hollywood Star:

“Working with him, I became a better wrestler because there was so much knowledge from his father, from the family, and from him that I was able to pick up through wrestling. His mic skills, the way he played his character, I got to learn quite a bit in that area from him by working with him. He was a tremendous talent.

It's notable here that Kane Shamrock is one of the few people who has not only worked in WWE but UFC and TNA as well.
