WWE News: Kevin Dunn doesn't like Becky Lynch's accent, will give her less promo time from now on

Does Becky Balboa deserve less promo time?

Becky Lynch made her triumphant return, this past week on Smackdown Live. However, her comeback was instantly sabotaged by the number one contender to the Smackdown Women’s Championship, Alexa Bliss.

Bryan Alvarez of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, along with UFC fighter "Filthy" Tom Lawlor, sat down to review Smackdown Live on the Wrestling Observer Radio.

When discussing the Becky Lynch-Alexa Bliss segment, Lawlor brought up Becky's accent, and Alvarez said that Kevin Dunn, (who is the Executive Vice President of Television Production and also part of WWE’s board of directors) hates Becky Lynch’s accent and doesn’t want to hear it anymore.

Alvarez also said that this means, it’s likely she isn’t going to get a lot of promo time in the future.

Becky Lynch is not only the Smackdown Women’s Champion, but she is the face of the female division in the blue brand. WWE can only go so far in not giving her promo time. Furthermore, she is considered to be among the top promo cutters of the female division overall, along with Charlotte on Raw.

Becky’s rival Alexa Bliss has also gotten praise for her promo cutting abilities. However, Charlotte and Alexa don’t have a foreign accent. It seems that sometimes a foreign accent can hold one back, regardless of the delivery.

Regardless, Becky Lynch was drafted to the blue brand for a reason. Three of the Four Horsewomen are currently on Raw, while The Irish Lass Kicker was the first woman drafted to Smackdown Live.

It became apparent from that point that she was going to lead the women on Smackdown Live. Reddit user FalconArrow , who was a confirmed WWE insider, once stated earlier this year that WWE is well aware of her abilities, but would always give priority to Sasha Banks and Charlotte.

Now that she is on her own, she can and will finally thrive. Here is her confrontation with Alexa Bliss this past week on Smackdown Live!
