WWE News: Mick Foley reacts to Miz’s Talking Smack Promo

Foley is the RAW general manager while the Miz Was drafted to SmackDown Live!

The Miz grabbed headlines after his recent promo on Daniel Bryan during an episode of Talking Smack when Daniel Bryan said that Miz wrestled like a coward. He said that he would often associate wrestlers like the Miz with the “soft” WWE style of wrestling.

It was then that Miz completely lost his cool and laid the mic work on Daniel. He spat words like a fire breathing dragon, accusing Daniel of never fulfilling his promise of returning to the ring and recapturing the Intercontinental title. Daniel justified his position by saying that the WWE has barred him from competing in the ring and he would return if they gave him the green signal. The Miz then dared Daniel to quit his job and return to the “bingo halls” of the Indies and wrestle, if his love for wrestling was truly paramount.

The Miz was literally shouting when Daniel slammed the mic and left the set. This incident on Talking Smack broke the internet as fans around the world started talking about the Miz and speculated if it was a work or an actual shoot.

WWE Hall Of Famer Mick Foley gave his nod of approval to The Miz for his promo work in the segment. Foley explained in a new blog released on his official Facebook page on Tuesday evening, that The Miz can never be the butt of one of his jokes again.

Foley posted the following comments after the Miz’s promo on Talking Smack

The Night the Miz ran wild

The Miz is rightfully the talk of the wrestling world after his career best promo on #TalkingSmack last night. Take a look and tell me what you think. To me, it was so powerful that halfway through, I realized I could never make the Miz the butt of a joke again. Not only would it not be funny, but I would lose credibility by trying to mine the wrong source for laughs. The Miz has slowly, but steadily become one of the best IC champions the #WWE has seen in a long time. Last night, he stated his case in a more abrupt way; eloquent, angry and completely believable.

With that promo, the Miz easily put himself in a better position in the eyes of the WWE management. How could they not see him differently? The Miz’s words sounded like he wanted to say this to them for a long time.

Vince McMahon has been on a pursuit to sign former-WWE employees for bigger roles, but that may not be necessary anymore. Miz’s promo almost makes him a main event star and he has made it clear that he’s ready to step right back into the spotlight.
