WWE issued a statement regarding the two upcoming NXT shows in New Zealand, saying that the shows are now cancelled.
“Dear WWE NXT Live fan,
WWE NXT Live in Auckland and Wellington - Cancelled
NXT Live at the Trusts Arena in Auckland on Monday, December 5 and TSB Bank Arena in Wellington on Tuesday, December 6, have now been cancelled.
All ticket holders will be refunded in full. WWE and TEG Dainty will look to reschedule new dates in the future”
Here is the initial announcement of the tour by Triple H himself:
The six dates at Australia in Melbourne, Newcastle, Gold Coast, Sydney, Canberra, and Perth are still scheduled to happen. However, the Canberra date, which was originally scheduled for 14th December has been shifted to 7th December. None of the other dates have been affected. The schedule now looks like this
7th December - Canberra
8th December - Melbourne
10th December - Newcastle
11th December - Gold Coast
13th December - Sydney
Melbourne will witness history when Shinsuke Nakamura defends the NXT Championship against Samoa Joe in a steel cage match; the second one in NXT history.
The first steel cage match was in NXT Takeover: The End, earlier this year, when Samoa Joe defended the NXT Championship, against Finn Balor. The Australian tour will also see the return of a handful of home country talents such as Billie Kay, Peyton Royce, TM-61 (Shane Thorne & Nick Miller) and Buddy Murphy.
The former 3, in particular, have been thriving in NXT, with the two women, beginning to be prominently featured on NXT television after the NXT raid.
Melbourne got a glimpse of NXT last year, at a WWE live event, when Finn Balor defended the NXT Championship against former champion, Neville.
