When talking to Renee Young in the latest episode of Total Divas, Paige revealed that she had a mental breakdown, and was even planning on packing her bags and going to England. When Young brought up Paige’s relationship with Alberto Del Rio and how it concerned her and her friends, Paige replied that it was no one’s business.
She went on to say that nobody contacted her, apart from Renee and that the others just want to know about her situation with Del Rio for the sake of gossip. Renee refuted these claims, insisting it was out of concern and not for gossip.
Paige then went on a brief yet angry rant, about how her co-workers don’t need to know anything about her and said that she didn’t want to talk about it. She then stormed off.
Renee and Paige did make-up later in the episode, with Paige apologetic over her behaviour. However, it should be noted that, in the recent past, Paige has isolated herself from the female locker room or any of her friends in WWE, despite them trying to reach out to her, according to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter.
The latest episode of Total Divas saw the beginning of the saga between Paige and Alberto Del Rio. Paige introduced her then-new boyfriend to her friends and co-workers in a “going-away” party that Natalya held for Naomi, who was going to film Marine 5 in Canada.
Naomi, Natalya, and the rest of the co-workers present were quite shocked, after seeing Paige get comfortable with Del Rio. Natalya even referred to Del Rio as “the bad boy” of WWE.
Paige revealed that a night out with him she was smitten by Mexico’s Greatest Export. When her friends admitted that they had never seen her so charmed before, Paige admitted that she was in love, despite just being with Del Rio for a few days at that point.
The timeline in which the saga is set, saw Paige dealing with a lot of frustration, because, for the first time in her life, she had been doing almost nothing, and had not been in a storyline for nearly half a year.
