Davey Boy Smith a.k.a British Bulldog was one of the most prominent faces in the WWE (then WWF), during the late 1980s and early 1990s. Smith won multiple championships during his time in the business, including the European, Intercontinental, Hardcore and Tag Team titles.
Quite surprisingly, though, the late Superstar is yet to find a place for himself in the prestigious WWE Hall of Fame. However, as per a report by Wigan Today, one of his fans named, Michael Finney, is carrying out an online campaign to get Smith inducted.

Three years ago, Finney started a website named ‘Team Davey Boy Smith’, which encourages people to sign an online petition for British Bulldog’s inclusion into the WWE Hall of Fame. As per the figures mentioned on the website, the petition has already attracted over 11,500 signatures.
Citing the reason he created the website, the 33-year old from Mansfield, England, said:
“I set up the website because I felt he should be in the Hall of Fame. There’s no Englishman in there, and it would be great if the British Bulldog was the first.”
Although Finney did claim that he had not expected so many people to endorse the petition, he asserted that this proved how popular the superstar was. “I didn’t envisage the petition getting so many signatures, but it shows how highly he was regarded,” he stated.

The British Bulldog came into the WWE as a tag team star but slowly graduated into being a formidable singles performer. During his career, he feuded with a number of future greats of the business including the likes of Shawn Michaels, Bret Hart and The Rock among others.
However, drug-related health problems that plagued Smith for most of his life as a pro-wrestler eventually led to his untimely death, at the age of 39, after suffering a heart attack while on vacation in 2002.
