Depending on the extremity of their actions, tales of backstage shenanigans find themselves either in funny lists or alarming ones. Superstars who’ve made a name for themselves with their locker room exploits include JBL, Owen Hart and who can forget, Randy Orton.
The Viper is notorious for having “left his mark” on many of his workers’ possessions. His temper has another section all to itself, and the latest edition to be added is former WWE Superstar Brad Maddox's shoot(courtesy of wrestlinginc.com) :
Randy [Orton] would get angry at something in a match. I remember a few instances when I was a referee, so I was in [the Gorilla Position] a lot of the time. A few times he would say things or threaten other guys, like right there in Gorilla, and I would be standing there with my eyes wide open, not believing that he is saying this in front of all the producers and in the same room with Vince. I was kind of amazed by that."
One Superstar who will stop and look down in introspection if he comes across this is current WWE Tag Team Champion Kofi Kingston. His career almost suffered instant death when he sandbagged an RKO a few years ago. While Kofi withstood Randy’s wrath and made an admirable recovery, another who wasn’t so fortunate is Ken Anderson. Botched moves to John Cena and Randy Orton would be the death knell of his WWE career.
